Sympathy with Islamic state is not confined to nation states. Many European Muslims and east Asians are joining up.

1)They are bumped full of emotions from seeing civilians in Syria getting massacred and wanted to vent their anger in any way possible.

2) they are not fully aware of the full picture and reality of ISIS and its agenda due to lack of research or language barrier.

3) ISIS took advantage of them, confiscated their passports, and forced them to be sacrificial lambs, even if sometimes they were kept in the dark about the whole situation and who the targets were.
