Blast in Quetta

Yea imagine he was your brother or relative, how would you feel if his picture was plastered with him at the mercy of his captors......but off course, you are only concerned about his well being.
I am astonished at the fact that the army has done nothing to free him and not even claim him as their soldier.

Wait for the Kabul government to dissolve, and then see how half of these attacks magically stop.

Pakistan will broken into Pieces, and ISPR will issue the same statement...
hum dushmano ko Pakistan ki sarzameen pe deshat gardi ki ijazat nai den gay...Now let us sleep in our expensive DHA houses while Poor Foot soldiers like FC, Police and regular are dying.
Bajwa is such a failure. Pakistan need Raheel sharif back.

I think Failure is still a decent word for Bajwa, he has single handedly ruined Pakistan's future and destroying Prospect for foreign investment.

There is no fight left in the senior leadership. Theyve become weak minded peace loving hippies.

This time afghan border needs to be bombed by PAF
Balochistan is 42% of the nation's total landmass. Let that sink in. When the TTP controlled territories in FATA, which is a sliver of the total landmass of Balochistan, it was able to unleash a wave of terror in the entire country. Even with Afghanistan totally pacified, the miscreants could operate freely with such an incompetent (technologically and tactically) archaic, dysfunctional security apparatus as ours. Even if external factors stir unrest in Balochistan, Quetta does not sit at the border as Lahore does with India. From the border to the Balochistan hinterland, the terrorists operate freely. They have weapons, human intelligence networks, do recce/surveillance of their targets, communicate with various elements in their chain of command—numerous opportunities to bust their modules at either of these steps if the proper tactics and 21st-century technologies are employed. But we can't due to structural bottlenecks marring our security institutions. Moreover, a regime losing provincial capital after provincial capital (could not keep its own territory) does have the juice to orchestrate terrorism in Pakistan? Highly unlikely. If there is any external power capable enough of doing so, that is the one General Bajwa asks to bury the past and move on. It's moving on and burying alright.

How is this possible. Why can't we stop it

Every citizen living in pak needs to be monitored. Intelligence agencies need to monitor all calls, messages and cctv using artificial intelligence.

People need to take to the streets and protest. Demand govt action against terrorism and demand we close the border.

Lots of economic activity happens through that border. That's not a solution. The only solution is elimination of all Indian assets in Afghanistan.

We cannot do that actively at least not yet. So only option is to be patient and wait for the status quo to change there.

How would you comment on the lapses that lead to such humiliation? There is a full video of how the attack was carried out while no air support came from an army aviation base in Quetta, some 30 miles from the location of the targetted post. Why do we indulge in infighting, doubting the credentials of fellow Pakistanis instead of asking the right questions from our decision-makers? How would complacency with high attrition levels be removed from these decision-making circles if the right questions are not asked and the information of lapses is not brought into the public domain? The status quo could not be upended, and every nationalist advocates for our soldiers and the sanctity of their lives.

For the sake of our soldiers, please start asking the right questions. Begin building pressure so the status quo could be upended, where 5 daily casualties becoming a new normal is acceptable in powerful quarters (if it was not, we would have seen more proactiveness at their part, forget proactiveness, there isn't even reactiveness).
@Cuirassier, you just retweeted me. I was making this point yesterday.

Why cant this safe city program go to Quetta, Peshawar etc and be subsidized by Federal/military's before going to Lahore or Karachi (I know in Lahore case they'll pay for their own but in case of western areas Fed should subsidize these programs)

Edit- I believe Lahore already has this program- first one to implement it in the country during SS administration
oh boy...

(Details came out of a California court)

The complaint said Huawei has yet to return any of the confidential software design tools or uninstall the software, as BES said it had agreed to.

BES said Huawei later demanded it install its data-aggregation software - used by Pakistani law enforcement to collect and analyze "sensitive data from different sources and government agencies" - in its Chinese lab, "this time not merely for testing purposes but with full access to data at the Lahore Safe City project." BES said it agreed, under threat of termination and withheld payments, after Huawei said it had approval from the Pakistani government.

The complaint accused Huawei of using the software "as a backdoor from China into Lahore to gain access, manipulate, and extract sensitive data important to Pakistan's national security."

BES also said that Huawei never paid for some of its software, and that Huawei is misusing its trade secrets in similar "Safe City" projects in Pakistan and around the world.
