Blast in Quetta

World Bank and IMF predicted that Pakistan will be a devolpt country before 2025, with the Floods and Terrorist attacks, i can defiently say we have been held bck for 10 years. I just hope now that the new projects in Karachi and Islamabad will recover Pakistan's Econmy. Lahore unfortuntly has been suffering alot of Terrorists attacks, so i doubt businesses would increase there.

It wasn't floods my friend neither was it the terrorism. It was a certain general called Zia-Ul-Haq who unleashed this frankenstein of guerilla war in south asia.

These jurnails enjoy in their officer's mess while common man on the street dies.

Like I once said, nobody cares for the common man. It's sad but it's the truth.

i think same is happening in Baluchistan and swat but no result...Govt. should think about another option..

current corrupt govt. can't do anything... :hitwall:

we have to be united regardless of races to beat terrorists...

Volunteers and Security personnel are carrying the injured on their backs. Anywhere from 35 to 45 dead so far, over 100 injured. Riots and Reprisals expected.

Why you say that?

A religious procession was attacked, members of that procession are very upset and have started a campaign of arson, shops are being forced to close down or risk being torched. In such a situation, anger can boil over.

Death to these terrorists

I Second that......

The terrorists in the KP area.. ?? May be Afghan Taliban...

Na, Taliban don't want Iraqization, they want to split Pakistan into small, more manageable group of Independent Islamic Emirates from where they can recruit boys for attacks abroad. But the bastards won't get what they want, History stands witness, whenever all odds are against Pakistan, that is when we tend to really unite and come on top as a nation...

When will the misery stop? Not untill Pakistanis become sick and tired of this kind of thing -- because right now they are not sick and tired - they appreciate the Saudi supported war against the Shi'ah - and then of course the insurgencies in Balouchistan also use these kinds of acts. And sitting silent, "comfortably numb" is the Pakistani state masqueradinga as a"democracy". Lets face it, if Pakistanis did no twant this to happen it wouldn't be happening. Just because you and I reject it does not mean that this does not have support - You wanted Islam, especially the real Islam (Saudi) - you've got it.

Unfortunately Pakistan chose not to follow Quaid-e-azam's vision (I am sure had you followed Jinnah's vision you would have been another singapore today). Then people like Zia made things worse by helping build an ideology that he needed to provide support to outside forces in meeting their objective. That was the turning point and it forced people into accepting something that was forced on them.

My friend, I don't think anybody really wanted Saudi style of Islam in Pakistan so we can not blame people. We need to blame the policies some of your leader adopted. Now the need of hour is the cleanup of this imported ideology but that will take much longer time as that has set its foot way too deep in pakistani society in my opinion. But I am sure Pakistan will come out victorious.

My heartfelt condolence to the family of deceased. May there soul RIP

a terrible and cowardly attack. these terrorists have neither heart nor spine. It takes a special kind of coward to kill innocent people in a march. how they hope to obtain paradise is beyond me.

May the victims rest in peace.

Start arresting and publicly hanging any maulvi, self styled religious scholars (Amir Liaquat), or any individual who speaks to ANY community being 'Wajib-e-qatal' or 'non Muslim' or 'Murtad' or any other nonsense.

This is an ideological war as much as it is a law enforcement/military war, and people seeking to spread hate in society are THE MAIN ENEMIES of Pakistan.

Start with that buffoon in Lal Masjid, and then make Liaquat publicly denounce his own comments on his new TV show, or hang him.

The State needs to send a strong message that this extremist behavior and ideology is unacceptable.
