BJP Leader Links Eating ‘Poha’ To Being Bangladeshi. Confuses Over Half Of India

You eat Chirwa if you get yourselves into accute diarrhea . It is traditionally believed to be a poop blocker.

Come to think about it Bangladesh does have a chance of becoming the first developed country in South Asia but politically will remain irrelevant in terms flexing muscles geo politically
A country, weak in the economy, remains weak also in geopolitics. Strong in the economy brings in a country's importance that causes it to become strong in geopolitics as well. So, a weak economy means no strength in geopolitics. Therefore, Bangladesh is moving in right direction.

In future politically will be one of the strongest nation I believe. Just because we are fortress of light surrounded by darkness. Let us become stronger economically and militarily first.

We are going to answer any offense with other offense instead of flag meeting. Now we know our destiny and that is, either we stand tall or get annihilated. So when we fight back, we will have a special position among Muslim world because we are surrounded by darkness and still standing tall ( or get annihilated) . Just what we needed that is time. And the days are not to far when we will fight back furiously.

Wtf ?

Khichri in Pakistan looks so different.
Its basically boiled white rice with some lentils & mostly given to babies or when someones got a bad stomach.

Poha/chiru? What is that? Never seen “flattened rice”, how exactly is it flattened? By boiling it and than pressing it and drying it?

Doesnt it go bad? I mean cold rice below chunkish/solid.
I think it's a kind of rice called toota chawal. It is very cheap and when cooked (as it's already broken) becomes mashed rice dish. But I am not so sure about it.

It appears Indian style Khichri doesn’t boil all the water in it. This is West Bengal, Indian style khichri.

This is Bangladeshi style beef khichri!

What’s Indian are preparing is probably known in Bangladesh as latka khichri.

No, it is not the broken rice, it is full rice, actually paddy . In BD there is a special kind of rice little sweat which is boiled, dried and then smashed by a round wooden pole with some mechanism. I am not sure but smashing may be done nowadays by a machine (?). Someone else can tell us the truth.

However, we can buy this item in Japan in the Halal Food Shops. Nepalese call it Chura and we call it Chira. It is already boiled, so, it is eaten after cleaning and keeping it for a few minutes on the plate with water. People add either salt, sugar or gur from either sugarcane or date tree juice.

As far as I know, Pakistanis do not know or eat this item. It may be because wheat is the traditional staple food there. Debt tree juice or its gur is also not available in Pakistan. Most delicious traditional foods in Bengal.

BD Bengalis have a better choice of fish--->Hilsa....WB Bengali have good mutton based dishes....Though I am "ghoti" and have no connection with BD, I feel very proud that BD is progressing rapidly...I hope BD is gifted with immense political stability..I hope the conflicts between two "Didis" are resolved (Mamata didi and Haseena didi)...

I personally have a wish to ordain as a Buddhist monk in Bangladesh during the last years of my life, even if that means saying (partial) goodbye to my family... Giving back to the land, the people and reviving the glories of the Pala Empire

I personally feel that the rise of Bangladesh is the second glorious time of this region after the peak of the Pala Empire

This is not different than the warm feelings a Pashtun on this side of the Durand Line would get when he hears news of a rising, booming Afghanistan

PS: My patience is wearing thin on these casteist N.Indian and W.Indian louts

Unfortunately it looks like BD is the only country in the region with a realistic chance of being developed.

India is just too big and fragmented to be able to become a strong nation state. Myanmar is a total and utter mess.

Best that Muslim areas of W Bengal, most of NE and Arakan join BD as this will benefit both India and Myanmar in the long term.

North East will never join any union where Bengalis dominate...what world are you living on?Arunachal,Manipur,Mizoram,Nagaland,Meghalaya have nothing in common with Bengali culture...and as the mentality of such luminaries like @AfrazulMandal have already demonstrated, I am not too sure whether the gulf between Hindu and Muslim Bengalis can be totally bridged either...may be 50 years down the line, this question can be revisited...Failure to achieve full developed status by the 100th anniversary, will cause serious ethnic tensions in the multi-ethnic nations of South Asia....ethnic Nationalism happens in a modern mindset...a Mindset that accepts rationality, Enlightenment ideas, secularism, irreligiosity, atheism, agnosticism ...religious nationalism happens in the pre-modern mindset ...These are broadstrokes, but generally true

War between France and Germany happened in ethnic nationalism phase..So they fought eachother with the most advanced weapons known to contemporary mankind...wars between Hindus and muslims occured in pre-modern religious mindset phase...So those conflicts were fought with relatively unsophisticated weapons

Toota Chawal (broken, partial rice) is called 'khood' in Bengali. It is fed to destitute and poor people in Bangladesh i believe.

Both rice and roti are staples in Pakistan. It varies by region how the rice is cooked. Certain dishes are served with rice, roti, or naan, and not anything else.

Pakistani culinary culture is very sophisticated and has strict guidelines.

Our gurr is from cane juice. Mostly used for some sweets or as a medicine.
