Yes of course, we've got better dishes than Bir-fucking-yani to eat thats why we never talk about it damn i hate biryani, tho many people love it.

Honestly I can eat Daal chawal without any meat as long as there are fresh green chilies to munch with it.

In Iran, Biryani or Beryooni is name of a popular food, originating in city of Isfahan and very popular there, which has nothing to do with biryani served in South Asia. It's also called Isfahan's Biryan. Although the name originates from Persian, but the food mentioned in this thread is specific to South Asia, but we have similar dished almost exactly like Biryani made in south Asian countries, mostly without much spices.
