Of all the cultural exports from the U.S., I have never understood the following:

- "Bling"... ridiculous, fat jewelry
- Pants that droop showing underwear. Yesterday I was behind a guy like this in line, and all I could think was "Dude, I really don't need to see you a$$."
- The general black hip-hop scene, which encompasses the above.

Black Americans are already moving away from the gangsta garbage.

Now imagine me in a mosque praying behind a person who is wearing those lose pants,and in that place of spirituality...i see hairy fat arse staring at me...

Happens all the time,,specially when youngsters come to the mosque in friday prayers.

you know what the friday before the last one, I was in the mosque for juma prayers & as we were listening to the khutba there was a guy sitting right in front of me showing of the prized asset that he had, an old man who was sitting beside myself was awashed with usual anger & despair. so when we stood up for the jamaat the old man grabbed the guys pants & told him to either go home or tie them proper so that no one would have see such a despicable scene in this holy place.

I have had brawls in for this reason..Boys wont be ashamed to show their bum to the whole world..but if pointed out and asked not to do so....they will get all cocky and angry.

Specially in Mosque if they are lame enough and no even able to wear descent dreass better atay at home...or out in the streets

There are rumours as to how the "low pants" thing got started. I heard it was done in jail, as mentioned, to advertise for sex. When I mention this to young men, they don't want to believe it, but the pants come up... a bit.

I can't say I'm thrilled with all of it, but I'd never be in favor of laws prohibiting it. But there is a point - all cultures have laws re: public exposure, and you can only go so far with this sort of display.

Now, with total intellectual honesty, I can freely say I am in favor of Whale Tails on women.
