Big irony: PLA invited to take part in Moscow VE day

I don't think anybody expects them to fight. It's like if Pakistan was invaded by India you wouldn't expect some seperate Pakistani Taliban army fighting them.

The question is should the Taliban join the Pakistani army in defending the country or just fold their arms and do nothing to help (or worse keep fighting you)

CPC and KMT had a truce in WW2, and if not for chiang kai shek would've had a truce earlier. remember qiang said that japan is just a disease of the skin, cpc is disease of the heart

Kung Hsiang-hsi(孔祥熙) and Adolf Hitler in Berlin.

Now we talk about the SECOND BIG IRONY.

KMT fought the Japanese and Russia should invite KMT to VE Day. However KMT was ally of Nazi Germany.

KMT officers even participate in Germany invasion at Europe

Chiang Wei-kuo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chiang sent Wei-kuo to Germany for a military education at the Kriegsschule in Munich. Here, he would learn the most up to date German military tactical doctrines, organization, and use of weaponry on the modern battlefield such as the German-inspired theory of the Maschinengewehr (Medium machine gun, at this time, the MG-34) led squad, incorporation of Air and Armored branches into infantry attack, etc. After completing this training, Wei-kuo completed specialized Alpine warfare training, thus earning him the coveted Gebirgsjäger (The elite Wehrmacht Mountain Troop) Edelweiss sleeve insignia. This was not an easy accomplishment, as part of the training selection included carrying 30 kilos of ruck sack through the Bavarian Alps. Wei-kuo was promoted to Fahnenjunker, or Officer Candidate, and was evidently a fine marksman, as his pictures depict him wearing the Schützenschnur lanyard.

Wei-kuo commanded a Panzer unit during the 1938 Austrian Anschluss as a Fähnrich, or sergeant officer-candidate, leading a tank into that country; subsequently, he was promoted to Lieutenant of a Panzer unit awaiting to be sent into Poland. Before he was given the mobilization order, he was recalled to China.

Sino-German cooperation until 1941 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cooperation between Germany and China was instrumental in modernizing the industry and the armed forces of the Republic of China prior to the Second Sino-Japanese War. The Republic of China, which succeeded the Qing Dynasty in 1912, was fraught with factional warlordism and foreign incursions. The Northern Expedition of 1928 nominally unified China under Kuomintang (KMT) control, yet Imperial Japan loomed as the greatest foreign threat. The Chinese urgency for modernizing its military and national defense industry, coupled with Germany's need for a stable supply of raw materials, put the two states on the road of close relations from the late 1920s to the late 1930s. Although intense cooperation lasted only until the start of the war with Japan in 1937, and concrete measures at industrial reform started in earnest only in 1936, it had a profound effect on Chinese modernization and the capability of the Chinese to resist the Japanese in the war.

Irony Number 1

The CPC Red Army are not fighting the Japanese except for one campaign (Hundred Regiment Offensive). The Commander Marshal Peng Dehuai get shit and fighting Japanese is his cardinal Sin.

Hundred Regiments Offensive - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Below is wikipedia

Peng and Mao had disagreed over how directly to confront the Japanese since at least the Luochuan Conference in August 1937, with Mao concerned about Communist losses to the well equipped Japanese. After the establishment of the People's Republic Mao is alleged to have said to Lin Biao that "allowing Japan to occupy more territory is the only way to love your country. Otherwise, it would have become a country that loved Chiang Kai-shek." Thus, the Hundred Regiments Offensive became the last of the two major Communist frontal engagements against the Japanese during the war. There had been controversy that Peng had no authorization, even no knowledge of Central Military Committee and Mao Zedong. As early as 1945 the accusation of launching battle without telling Mao had appeared in the North China Conference. During the Great Leap Forward, Peng's bad temper led to his downfall and then the launching of the battle became yet again a criminal action in Cultural Revolution. In 1967, the Red Guard group of Tsinghua University, with the support of Central Cultural Revolution Committee issued a leaflet saying "The mug Peng, along with Zhu De, launched the offensive to defend Chongqin ... He rejected Chairman Mao's instruction and mobilized 105 regiments in an adventuristic pulse ... Chairman Mao said 'How can Peng Dehuai make such a big move without consulting me? Our forces are completely revealed. The result shall be terrible.'"

Marshal Peng Dehuai
Doubt your nonsense claim and sources. Most of these sources are written by white man who totally not even understand a single Chinese word. if peng is so hate against Mao, he would have long quit CCP and would not fought so many battle during the 1945-1949 and not to mention the Korean war for Mao.

Smearing at its best.

Mao may have folded his arms during the war but he didn't get overthrown.
You forget Lin bian famous victory against Japanese so what nonsense are u talking?

By 1936, mao is almost destroy by KMT and only stop by Xue liang General. How much men can he assemble to counter japanese in 1937?

KMT as the ruling party should shoulder the main fighting against the Japanese and YES she did, while some PDF PRC claim otherwise.

And it is also true that CPC should only be having an auxillary role especially when she is weakened after long march. So CCP as you claim, are not able to engage Japanese other than harassing them

True.

So you admit KMT is responsible for defending China in WW2.

Good.

Do I need to explain to you one more time?

就算普京邀请国民党,没有美国爸爸的许可,他们也没胆来参加。

.
@Lux de Veritas , the biggest irony of China it's to give born a chinese like you, because these people only care about face saving, dignity and respect without knowing how to maximize our nation interest. Take the case of Japan, it got nuked twice and still Japaneses are cozying with Americans against China? why? the answer is simple--->National Interest. Why Vietnamese prime minister want to cozy Americans that these same people dopped more bombs on Vietname than the entire WW2 campagne whout mention the Agent orange that vietnamese are still suffering, they're willing to cozy not because the love but because the need.

I think curent Chinese leadership is pragmatic and realist, they dont live with the obsession of our pass humiliation, they do the maximum effort to secure each square inch of our nation interest and that deserve my respect.

.
You like it or not. That's the reality.

‪#‎Russia‬ on Thursday carried out its final general rehearsal for its Victory Day parade scheduled for this Saturday. 700 military personnel from 10 other nations also took part, including about 100 Chinese PLA soldiers.

The only BIG IRONY is ur idea, buddy ! For example ...

1 .In WWII whole France seized by NAZI Germany Army ... some French built pro-NAZI French Vichy government in Pairs, is that French was ally of Nazi Germany ?

2. In WWII North China seized by Imperial Japan Army ... some Chinese helped the invader as local security group to against Chinese guerrilla forces, is that Chinese was ally of Imperial Japan ?

3. Before WWII whole Korean Peninsula controlled by Imperial Japan, in WWII some Korean as Imperial Japanese soldiers to invade neighbour nations, is that Korea was ally of Imperial Japan ?

4. In WWII West USSR seized by NAZI Germany Army ... some anti-Bolshevik ppl from Baltic States/ Ukraine and Tujue from Middle-Asia join NAZI Germany Army to against the Red Army in the eastern battlefield, is that USSR was ally of NAZI Germany ? BTW before German "Barbarossa Operation", the Stalin and Hitler ever signed non-agression treaty between NAZI Germany and USSR, is that Stalin was ally of Hitler ?

5. Before Imperial Japan Navy Attack Pearl Harbor of WWII, U.S just watched outside let Imperial Japan stole Chinese lands from three provinces of North China in1937 ... is that U.S was ally of KMT's ROC or Imperial Japan ?

In the end of WWII (1945), most these traitors get the justice sentence by our WINNERs !

P.S above pics most r Korean & Tujue joint NAZI Germany Army in the eastern battlefield. Here has a famous old photo of WWII, not Chinese.
