It was mainly col taher, zia, siraj sikdar, and all the other controversial people who played great roles on the war. However, India did play its role and it did assist us throughout the way by providing us refuge and at the end offer us some help. But it would be insane to take entire credit for the war.

While I agree to the bold part, however Mukti Bahini was fighting a guerrilla war and never directly faced PA. The ultimate offensive which made PA to surrender was led by IA. However needless to say, without Mukti Bahini, IA wouldn't have won such a decisive victory.

While I don't want to make an issue out of it, but you're not considering the 'Bengali sentiment' of West Bengal into your equation. It took Indira almost a year before she agreed to go offensive, and Bengal lobby played it's part there.

The strategy was the same: speed, ferocity and flexibility”. The Army, of course, was not alone. The Indian Air Force, the Indian Navy and the Mukti Bahini helped to shape the victory.

yes i agree with you but we should have let them get freedom themselves with their guerrilla war when thousands were killed and raped all across their nation
the dates given on that website i gave are quite evident why we felt need to intervene rather than just giving refuge..its their own website but you know these awami stooges dont you...they can even change dates

First of all, all the guys i mentioned, zia , taher, all of them are army themselves. I did say it was the mujib killers and zia who did most of the fighting and who probably deserves more credit for the war. I never mentioned anything about mukti joddas or the people themselves doing much.

Well Hasina honored Jyoti Bose(who incidentally hailed from BD) along with Indira, as far as I remember Infira was reluctant to involve directly to the war because she thought Pakistan might use it as a justification to their involvement to Kashmir(which they do!), however when the refugee situation went out of control and the pressure from Bengal lobby intensified, she agreed to go for offensive.
