where is nehru ji? he was by far the greatest visionary we have had the honour of being led by. he was the one who set up the IITs and IIMs. he was the one that ensured that india was self reliant in several fields. we had nice growth with his policies. pick up the results of the first five year plan if u have a doubt.

i have a lot of respect for indira gandhi for how she stood up to the challenges she faced and the green revolution. however her autocratic policies caused as much damage as the good her other policies did.

she is just a pale shadow of what her father was. a visionary who had a clear idea of what he wanted india to be. who worked to make those dreams a reality.

Nehru ji aint flawless and the debacle of 1962 attests to that however the social and economic policies he put in place have stood us in good stead. just an example would be the land reforms we had under his guidance as well as the hindu civil code bills that he somehow pushed through inspite of all the challenges he faced.

it wasnt nehru who institutionalised corruption. that sarted after his death. the congress'comittee' took over and nepotism suddenly exploded onto the scene. indira gandhi in her bid to snatch power from them made things worse as far as corruption etc go.

calling nehru ji names and blaming him for the ills done by the rest of his family after his death are not very productive or logical.

no other had the balls or the vision to set up the non aligned movement which gives us our independent foreign policy today. its because of him that india had funds from both the soviets and the nato countries to set ofthe IITs and IIMs. It is because of him that india had both soviet and western weapons to fight with in wars.

All PM we have had after him have been too busy staying the PM to do anything worthwhile.

Nehru was just a rich faggot who used Mahatma Gandhi to reach the pinnacle of his political career!! His issues with Jinnah has led to division of Indian subcontinent into two parts..no respect for him
