Well , Kiyani has led Pakistan Army in the most hardest times. Let us see ... The sole super power going mad at your Western Border. Islamic fundamentalists bombing Pakistan Army inside Pakistan (getting all sorts of help from enemies). India , the conventional enemy of Pakistan , seeing its best time and modernizing its military like never before. Country is going through WORST conditions of history. Floods , terrorism , economic collapse , political instability etc .... Mumbai Attacks occurred but under Kiyani , Pakistani Military shattered any Indian plans of surgical strike on Pakistan ... At the same time Military conducted its largest ever exercises , Azm-e-Nau 3 . Not to mention the biggest threat ..the Islamic fundamentalism INSIDE Army..Kiyani has to tackle that too and not to let Army disintegrate .... Plus Kiyani faces a huge problem of drones in the Western sector. He can't bring down drones .... Not to mention OBL debacle in all this mess.... Man just look at it...General Kiyani had to see sooooooo much mess but still , he held Pakistan Army together and did successful operations in Swat , tribal areas etc... In the meantime , he did allow India to do any misadventure on Eastern border of Pakistan ... Also Siachen incident also occurred in his tenure ...

Kiyani also brought Army back to barracks and pulled-out from political sphere of Pakistan ...

All in all , General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani has done a very commendable job!!!! In this toughest of times , he has been able to handle the situation and keep Pakistan Army as strong as it was before !!!! Shall I compare him with Indian generals who are in scandals every day for one thing or the other?

Hail to the Chief : Kayani

NATO Commanders describe him as a thinking General......a Soldier's soldier.

What more they say about him?

A brief description from one of the narratives.
The man who succeeded Gen Musharraf as Pakistan's 14th army chief is noted for his patience, diligence, intelligence and sheer determination.
Another contributing factor has been his ability to keep a low profile when necessary while also being able to take decisive action when it's needed.
Gen Kayani's clan is one of the largest and most powerful in the northern Jhelum area of Pakistan's largest province, Punjab.
The harsh and arid region is famed throughout the subcontinent for only one product - soldiers.
So in many ways Gen Kayani was born to the job.

depends on what the C-in-C/CoAS inherited at the time of his appointment. what policies they were able to implement. what weapons systems they inducted. health of their force when they left. each chief came under different circumstances. so a 'who's best' is difficult to judge.

General Pervez Musharaff for his ability, courage as a True Soldier. He really tried his level best to get siachien glacier from India. And another one person mizra aslam beg for providing Pakistan Army a excellent RIPOSTE doctrine (Offensive Defence). He framed this doctrine from exercise zarb e momin.

In my opinion these 2 people are best.

A) General Pervez Musharaff.
B) General Mizra Aslam Beg.

In my opinion it has to be General Kiyani.

I would also like to add Gen Ayub except for the fact that he was the 1st dictator and he started the damned army interfering in the Politics of the country.

The worst by far was Zia-ul-Haq and Yaya in that order.
