Lahore Isalamabad and Rawalpindi are great places to see and shop for. Karachi on the other hand has gotten so volatile I don't think its worth even going there.

If you have some money to buy a house in a good residential area, then Lahore...Islamabad is second, good facilities, ample health facilities, all the big shopping brands, sarkari kaam, security, good traffic etc etc

Water can be a bit of a problem though but the pipes are being replaced now so....

For a vacation, Naraan in Kaghan valley is a must provided you are an outgoing adventurous type.

To settle, apart from Islamabad, Abbotabad is very comfortable and Karachi has it's own spirit.
