Besides Kashmir, What else are the reason of animosity between India and Pakistan?

I always argue Kashmir is the sole reason of aggressive posture between two nuclear armed states. Once resolved there will be economic boom in the region. Kashmir is unfinished agenda of Partition.
Even if kashmir is handed on a platter to pakistan , nothing will get solved. It will only embolden pakistan to further their conquest. Sole aim of pakistan or its so called ancestors from medieval century is to take over entire south asia.

Most of the pakistanis even foolishly argue that once kashmir is taken away from India it will open up as gateway to other states. Pakistan has even coined a phrase for that death by thousand cuts.

India is a secular multicultural pluralistic country while pakistan is virtually opposite of it. I dont think we will ever allow pakistan to achieve its aim of destroying our way of life or society.

If Kashmir was resolved, Pakistani would still have issue with:

- Indian Idea of "Akhand Bharat" This is a Nazi like ideology of the "Original" race and people of India. It's very dangerous and India needs to clap it down like Germany does with Nazis

- Right wing, Fascist Hindus (Internet Hindus). If Akhand Baharat is the ideology, then these are the foot solders. Just look online how toxic and vile these people are. They routinely advocate for destruction of other countries, genocide of minorities, and forced conversion to Hinduism.

- Accept that Pakistan exists and that there was no such thing as an Indian country before 1947. If Indians can do this, most of the problems in South Asia can be solved and we can form something like ASEAN, where we can visit each other and treat each other with dignity and respect.

Kashmir is just a point to exploit. It is not a reason.

The reason.....reason....cause-effect chain.......what is the reason for this hostility? Well someone must gain something from it. @Joe Shearer can explain it well. He has seen this hostility for a long time.

I will just end it with a story.

A man was travelling through a muddy road when his car got suddenly trapped in the pool of mud. He tried very hard to move but his car failed to come out of it.

Suddenly, he saw a villager coming toward him in his bullock cart.

Once the bullock cart came near, he requested him to pull his car out of mud. A deal of Rs 100 was negotiated between them for the work and the villager pulled the car using his bullocks.

The man felt greatly relieved and paid him the money.

He then asked the villager, “There may be so many cars that would be getting trapped in this mud.”

Villager: “True sir. You are the seventh person since morning whose car got trapped in this mud.”

Man: “Oh my God! Did you have to pull all of them.”

Villager: “Yes Sir.”

Man: “You must be busy full day pulling the cars from the mud having no time to do your own work.”

Villager: “Very True Sir. I have to do all my work in night only.”

Man: “Oh I see! By the way, what work you do in night.”

Villager: “I just ensure that this mud is never dry.”

They'll just find something else to fight over. What we need to do is form an Indo-Pak alliance against the misfit "South Asian" country.

That misfit country's posters were cheering for war between Pak and Ind recently in a thread.

The backstabbers practiced a non-violence stance when the British were the ruling class but did a complete 180 when Partition took place. Thus also proving them to be fake & snakes who only bite when they have an overwhelming dominance.
you ain't know nothing

.
If you people see the arguments from both sides, you'll find that there is attraction of huge magnitude between the two. Only problem is that who will lead this venture namely Greater Pakistan/Akhand Bharat.

"WE" will lead this venture. When WE say WE, WE means JAIDI... Azeem O Shan Shahen Shah...

NWF did not want to join Pakistan at partition - frontier Gandhi preferred India.
are you out of your fucking mind? do they teach you this shit in Schools
here is an eye opener for you

Other reasons are people wanna waste themselves and their Tim in something useless that is why holding to animosity gives them relief.

Stop posting garbage.

Pakistan says only Kashmir is disputed territory.

Pakistan would not do any conquest on Indian legal land like Delhi and Agra.

Folks, this thread is about a specific scenario. Not the justification about who gets Kashmir. Its a hypothetical scenario and most probably will not play out in reality. So lets stick to that premise and argue!

Premise

India free Kashmir (only valley not Jammu or Laddakh) peacefully without any war

Argument

1. What will be the issues for India and Pakistan to still be enemies?

2. Will they remain as much of an enemy as they are right now?

3. What do you think India Pakistan dynamics will look like say 10 years from that event. Assuming India makes no claims or any intervention with Kashmiris.

Kashmir may have started as the immediate issue soon after partition, but the problem is far deep rooted than that despite what Pakistanis would like one to believe!

First of all, handing over Kashmir puts India in such a strategic vulnerability, militarily, that you would have to be really foolish as a Pakistani to NOT take further advantage of it to cut into Jammu/Ladakh and slice India into manageable chunks (Khalistan). And to think that the Pakistani mindset, that has been brought up with deep-rooted hatred of India and a sense of 1000-year-Muslim-rule-over-India crap, would suddenly turn the corner and let India/Hindus live peacefully, is really pushing it too far (even for Aman-Ki-Asha aunties)!

Besides, secession of Kashmir will only be seen as perpetuation of Two-Nation Theory. Handing Kashmir on a platter would only make Islamists in India salivate at the prospect and embolden them to make similar demands, of course with sufficient "moral support/instigation" from the Pakistan (Assam/WB, anyone?). Not to mention the bloodshed and mayhem that it will cause, that will dwarf, ABSOLUTELY DWARF, anything that was seen in 1947!

OTOH, you deny secession of Kashmir on religious lines, you automatically deny any further opportunity to partition India!

Far more than the resources or strategic advantage that Kashmir brings, it's role as the LINCHPIN that holds the Union together, that is indispensable for India. And it is for this reason that India will throw the proverbial kitchen sink at any attempt to wrest Kashmir and never let go of it!

.
Alright, say *for the sake of argument* India free Kashmir (only valley not Jammu or Laddakh) peacefully without any war and let them decide to join Pakistan or stay independent -- joining India is not an option-- what will be the direction taken by Pakistani government?

Rather what will be the issues for India and Pakistan to still be enemies?

Will they remain as much of an enemy as they are right now?

What do you think India Pakistan dynamics will look like say 10 years from that even. Assuming India makes no claims or any intervention with Kashmiris.

Then no major issue remain. India cease to be an enemy and becomes are normal neighbour.
