For a country that still has no running electricity for decade plus, garbage piling that it has created another land mass on the sea etc. It is just a folly to comprehend.

It is run by proxy forces and will always be.

Trust me, I have seen every type of these people - in DRC - they are all over like parasites buying gemstones and fueling the arms dealing etc. You name it, they are into it. Same in West Africa. Through my travels across the continent - the people you cannot trust are Lebanese, Egyptians and Nigerians - all cut from the same cloth in terms of business dealing crooks. But racism is ingrained in them.

In my view almost all Arabs are same. Stupidly aggresive, racists and their social and human values almost barbaric. @PradoTLC seems to think the Emiratis are better. What's your experience with rest of the Arabs, specially the GCC ones?

The rich abuse the poor, it's not a Lebanese issue, it's a world issue. In Latin America in some countries the rich often sexually abuse the maid. Of course, they doesnt represent the whole country, only a minority can afford have a maid.

All cut from the same cloths. The worst of the bunch are the Kuwaitis, Emiratis, KSA in that sequence.

My best experience was with Omanis - but then again I was dealing with non-arab part of their society; majority of the population has deep ties to Zanzibar. i was practically at home.
