Beijing Daxing International Airport turned into a large-scale water plant today

.
Every year the flood gets stronger.
It seems even chinese infrastructure is no match.

China haters always like to post natural disasters in China, I never post natural disasters in other countries, do India and US never get hit by natural disasters? Just curious.

Not really that bad, I actually very much enjoy it, before this rain, Beijing was hot like hell, now is fresh and cozy, very comfy.

This is the only post which is about a natural disaster, I have nothing against Germany, I posted it because right at that moment swarms of China haters posted a flood disaster in Zhengzhou city, Henan province. some people were killed and the haters here were celebrating here, right at the time, Europe was also being savaged by unprecedented flood, especially Germany, I posted it to tell those haters floods hit everywhere, they should not get too excited.

Well we know your true nature, it was obvious when you were gleefully counting each COVID death in the US since 2020. But then “you do you” Mr. Walker but don’t think the rest of us are so easily fooled by your proclamations of innocence.

You guys celebrated covid in China first and didn't expect it got you that fast, you don't seem to have a good memory, do you? as for US covid measures, that's a manmade disaster indeed.

I would think rain in Northern China brings more advantages then disadvantages.
Actually it does, I very much enjoy it, it's not really that bad, I travel from Haidian to Chaoyang to work everyday, I saw nowhere having serious flood, it brought down the unbearable heat, such a blessing, I wish it could last for more days, the temperature is so comfy now. Some flash flood happened in mountainous area, they are far away from urban Beijing, they are under Beijing's administration but are not really Beijing.

Beijing has the world biggest subway network, in summer time when rainstorms hit, sometimes some Beijing subways were flooded, No Beijing's subway stations were flooded during this rain. this rain is not really that bad, it brought more good than bad.

Actually even more important is the underground water table. This rain will help raise the water table. The water table has been dropping due to increase population and agriculture needs due to more and more underground water being pumped out. If water table dropped to a certain level, the land will start to sink. Once the land sink it is irreversible.

Quote
Beijing experienced continuous groundwater depletion after 2000. This was due to overexploitation amid the capital's urbanization and population growth, as well as climate change.

The overall 3-centimeter increase in the groundwater level is a hard-earned result of the city's consistent water conservation efforts.

In 2015, the average depth of groundwater in the metropolis reached 25.75 meters. Since then, the groundwater level has increased for six consecutive years, the authority said.

China's massive South-North Water Diversion Project-which diverts water from the Yangtze River Basin to the drought-prone north-and the capital's water conservation efforts have both played an important role in achieving this significant progress, officials from the water authority told People's Daily.
