Before You Condemn The Paris Attack

Intellectual lollipop. Notice he condemned just about everything and anything that can be associated with the tragedy to dilute the moral blame that is leveled at a particular group.

How about this: I condemn the Chinese for inventing gunpowder that led up to the terrorism in Paris.

Perfectly in line with what Mr. Mir Muhammad Ali khan done.

The next step to that foundation is to claim that all will be peaceful if we all follow the one true God. As long as I get to would define the truth, of course.

PS: Yes, it is all China's fault! :D

.
That's a pitfall of the combination Uber-Capitalism / unfinished Democracy and both humanity's propensity to laziness and limited average intellectual means. Fine for a treatise, not for a thread.
I hope we get to discuss it some more.

I think you can. Hoping Waz won't cut you short, let me try :

First, not "only Muslims are involded in terrorism" as you said.
Second, in the West, the terrorism is not exported, probably simply because being rich we need not flee anywhere,
but when the movie The Last Temptation of Christ came out depicting Issa married and having forgotten humanity
as doom approached, this sacrilege prompted strict ( read soulless ) Christians to bomb cinemas showing the film.
Third, even if Muslims were more prone to extremism in religion than the rest, you'd have to consider that it's the
youngest / most recent of the major ones and that most of its believers live in so-so conditions of dominance, poverty or war! Do check how Christianity was doing in 650 just for fun; what it did since, etc.
I have known fine Muslims all my life. The inferiority complex washes off as soon as they feel secure,
be it at home or in exile. In fact, in my 50 apartments tower, my best present ones are a Sunni family from Morocco.

See mate? I just discussed it without fear of reprimand to answer you. Maybe it's the tone?

Me too but rule of thumb, mon frère :
Consider 25% idiots in any societies ( Trump's numbers in the prez race, Marine, etc. ).
Then consider 1.6 Billion Muslims. 25% of which comes to 400, 000 people. Even if only (sic)
25% of them ( 100, 000 ) have internet, that still makes for a lot of ridiculous statements.

Yes! Very right! We should act and talk accordingly, but then, anger, jealousy, cupidity,
thirst for power set in and ... it's major jihad path for you.
Best solution? Never follow naming anything immoral by - ... but ... and shun those that do.

Actually we will get involved, I can even predict for after the CDG CG departing Wednesday gets near the M-E,
we'll see The Night The Lights Went Out In ISILia.
And while in some agreement to your second point, that's even more unlikely! IMHoO of course.

Well, though not a Muslim, I'd like the Fiqh to have a better role in state affairs in most lands.
I'd like the penchant for harsh rulers to stop giving way to dictatorships, for less Muslims on
Muslim violence and so on. Maybe, you need to make your point without referring to theology?
The average forum dweller is not gonna follow you on that. Or open a specific thread if allowed?

All the best to all and all of yours, Tay.

I keep hearing this formula of just 1% of muslims are extremists and terrorists. .which may very well be true. But then we are talking about a 1% figure from 1.6 billion that works out to what? 16 million?. Good luck with the air strikes on the sand huts and dunes and leftover ruins of Iraq and syria.

The 16 million plus and the millions more possibilities - or at least the bulk of them aren't exactly in one place..They are closer to home then one imagines..clean house first instead of beating a stick on the slither trails left by the serpent in the sands... the serpents vitals and its head are elsewhere.

Finally...I condemn Thag, the caveman who discovered how to create fire.

.
How about the bacteria that reproduced in argil way back or that clay itself?

Excellent hit and run combo, man! :enjoy:

GN all, Tay.

Let us not forget Mrs. Thag's role, since she is the one who nagged him for a better way to cook.

I have but one question: What good does all the condemning actually achieve?

They are counter condemnations to dilute the original condemnation. .best part is the narrative that the victims had it coming.

Probably. :undecided:

Anyway it's true, a lot of terrible stuff goes on in the world. But this was especially reprehensible I think because France only just got hit a while back with the Charlie Hedbo attack.

And frankly the ISIL region (formerly Iraq-Syria) is only going to get worse, I don't think they can blame it on foreign intervention anymore. REGARDLESS of foreign intervention or not, it's only going to get worse and worse, for the foreseeable future. It will take generations before this extremism starts to die down.

These guys are going to teach the exact same hatred to their children, and so on. As long as the region continues to be unstable, it's only going to get worse. In fact it's probably going to get worse regardless.

My comment about China was not serious Sir.

I agree with you that the mayhem in the Middle East will increase in ferocity over the next few years, and very few will remain standing when it is all wound up.

I knew that of course, I don't think anyone could blame us for gunpowder. :azn:

Problem is that the hatred will just keep passing from generation to generation.

The only real solution is genuine stability for several decades at least, but that seems like an impossible goal.

Hate, powerful as it is, always gets defeated and dies out since it damages the hater far more than the hated in the long run. Human history shows us that clearly.

Western interference in the Middle East has only brought political instability, division ,destruction to institutions , more death and agony for locals. Everything was false and lies and deception from the beginning. Saddam's Iraq may have had its faults but at least there was some religious harmony, peace and an enviable social life apart from an affluent society. The greatest gift the western Government can give to the Arab people is to leave them alone. No playing politics with jihadi grups which then come back to bite them, no picking sides, no giving weapons to one group against others, no toppling government to leave power vacuum. none of that crap.

. .
He was manipulated by CIA. In reality the pentagon and CIA hated that guy.

If a person in power is so easily manipulated, then there is even less reason to listen to what he says.
