The docile Islam in India was docile because it followed Hindu culture. The openness and the joyousness of Indian culture acts as a barrier for the most part against any savagery. The same is seen in Pakistan as well as Bangladesh. Your women are more liberal than any in the Arab worlds because you are part of Indic/Hindu culture. That culture though is now being shunned for "pure Islam." The way you practice Islam in Pakistan (or not practice) is considered Bidah.

I am not saying it. I was just saying look at us. No protest when something happened to hindus in other country unless he or she is an indian. But huge protest if indians (" irrespective of religion" ) suffered in iraq. But again, these people who really are against the teachings of Islam, no protest against them though they are in our country( I mean mine and yours) but protest agains a person who is not even a muslim and who is in west. That is what I want to say.

I understand your frustration because it is some of what we go through here. There is no solution to make brain activity into physical activity. Protests and violence are for people who do not have a way out or want to force their crap onto us. The smarter people always have a way out. Thats why you do not see them on the streets. Of course they are trying to impose their beliefs on to others. About 10 years ago a very gentle guy in my office was boasting how he never got a picture taken of his wedding because he was trying to follow the correct Islam where imagery is prohibited. This was a sweet gentle person. When sweet gentle people start believing in stuff like this and start avoiding movies, songs, photography and slowly their families join in, there is only one way that society is heading. You never would have seen so many burkhas appearing on Indian streets anytime before now. All of them talking the same language. Sure, there are still liberal elements but they are being snuffed out because they believe what the sweet gentle guys are telling them is the truth and it is per the Quran and Sunnah and whatever.
