Social Media has one short coming. The message don't get to the population that votes the most. The one which doesn't have a smartphone, internet connection.

This is where conventional media, mainstream media helps Congress.

That being the truth, however the point being made is the bad publicity being earned by Congress on SM. They aren't happy with it so they want to spread here too. I don't think Congress is doing this for vote garnering, the article points this out. If this SM had vote bank in it, they would have spent 1000 crores for sure.

Ya i agree with you... Nearly 68% indian living in rurals area.. and thats a massive number.. Say around 15 use net and other social sites. So still there is nearly 53% and in city,town dont go for voting.Hardly 20% in 32%. And this what congress always targeted. Congress gave mgnrega and it is believed that mgnrega played vital role for congress in pulling voters. People in rural place dont have enough communication to know about facts. They dont have stronge media. They dont know that theie congress giving mgnrega doing hell lots of corruption, dont have strong policy which are the root reason of suffering of poor people. Well bjp needs to target rural people if they want to come to power... Urban people will vote this time in favor of bjp...

This has always bugged me, percentage wise these guys are outnumbered by Hindus so what is the statistical calculation of vote bank politics!!!

People in my village have mobile phone even if their children don't go to school. But message should be in Hindi.

supporting a political party is not a crime ...yes they are ...2% community is very strong in NE and southern states ,in 2009 election Bishops decided congress candidates in two seats (kerala ) and 15% community is a decisive factor in more than 100 seats i believe they are crucial in our electoral politics
