Be friends with Pak if you want superpower status: Mufti to India

Hi- so tell me what india has to offer Pakistan? somehow you have a dellusion that we need you somehow to survive or progress- sorry we dont- you have nothing to offer- what we need that belong to us we will take it from you one way or another- and to not put it in John Keats words " you have only miles to go before you are put to sleep "
Ohh.. India is offering the lifeline to Pakistan, each and every day, that is water. Now, we are in the process of finalizing putting that thing on a short leash. It's not like we intend to choke that though.

But, forget about that. Let's take water out of the equation. Answering your question, it is not like India wants to have a relation with Pakistan there. That's why, India is rolling out packages for it's other neighbouring countries, but not Pakistan.

Reason is again, simple enough, there is no positive return on investment. But, we can get our onions from Pakistan, just when we need it, at rates, less than wholesale market rates in Pakistan. So, it works out perfectly fine!

India will not offer you what you ask for, Kashmir.

On the other hand, Pakistan should offer to settle the boundary issue by making the LoC as the IB. Anything other than that is not acceptable to India, I think you knew that.

The delusion you have been living in is that something belongs to you. grow up, you cant even handle your own country and dream of taking something from us.

forget Pakistan, conversion of LOC to IB is not acceptable to us Indians. Probably that was true 25-30 years back, not any more.

I don't think so. I am an Indian too.

You contribute some services in order to get something in return. That is the way it should be.

i agree with you because i agree with the socialist credos "one who produces, can consume" and "from each according to capability, to each according to need"... the example i gave was from a socialist society where every citizen was expected to contribute, including via direct participation in the political functioning of society.

now imagine if the indian youth instead of wasting time in mba colleges, software companies and pubs were to be put some hours of their day, for example in neighborhood-level collectivized "vertical farms"...

wouldn't that be contributing of services as you desired??

another place of contribution would be neighborhood-level "3d printing" workshops.

hmm looks cool.. Is it economically viable ? It seems, it will beat the current wholesale selling rate of rice.

I think @nForce is right .
What we can see in here is the tough posture of GoI foreign policy is increasing day by day.
Now they willshift the attention to Pak Ocuupied Kashmir.

India doesn't want to be a super power.
India need to go to a stage where it becomes self-reliant and not on imports.
That is enough.

Pakistan's doctrine: Bleed India with a thousand cuts to avenge the 1971 defeat.

This doctrine has come to stay and thus Pakistan's proxy war against India will continue till the end of days.

Another reason is to keep the Kashmir pot boiling forever as it helps the PA to remain relevant in society by painting India as the perpetual enemy. Without an enemy, the PA would be stripped of its power and pelf!

That means he should have followed"RAJ DHARAM" during 1989 kidnapping of his daughter....
God forbid if his daughter was not saved in exchange of freeing terrorists then he would not never dreamt of what he is saying in OP....
Anyway we should not expect much from terrorists sympathizers.... He should rather concentrate more on governance than the flaring up the terrorists sympathizing sentiments......

the super power status can be achieved by overcoming enemies. In last 3 decades India have come long ahead of Pakistan strategically. Now no one supporting Pakistan against India even China is hesitating because Economy matters and India no matter how much you ignore is getting good hands in economics and the trend will be same in near future so May be Pakistan should start thinking beyond religion now.
