What's new

BD ranks one of lowest in owning motor vehicles.

Kolkata has a much more efficient public transport system, and the roads are wider and planned properly, unlike the mess that Dhaka is.

Bangladesh needs to get those rikshaws of the roads, and provide these people with other jobs.
Agree with Rickshaw part.
For Kolkata, stable population in the last two three decades helped to do proper planning. On the other hand,Dhaka's population exploded 4-5 times in the last 30 years, washing away all the plan -program.Initially in the 1960s,Dhaka was planned to be a city of 2 million. Now ten times people are living in the same areas. So low skilled administration could not cope and govt. neglected mega infrastructure project for Dhaka until it became too unbearable. This is how Dhaka got in it's current place.

Their ports were flooded with almost new second hand cars from Japan after the Fukushima Tsunami, no prize for guessing why

Heh ....lol....didnt know that but not surprised!

.
There is comfort in knowing how much of an abject failure bangldesh is. Lol even a small city in India has more cars than that whole entire country.

Majority of those 2% are used second hand cars.

In 2016 total number of new cars sold in Bangladesh was around 5000.

@Nilgiri

Calling your resident troll boyfriend?

That's a top notch Bangladeshi TQM guy talking.

They are proven facts. Stop trolling. 100,000 miles is stretching it for Indian vehicle.....

Have a good cry watching what effeminate, malnourished BD will never be able to do in its short lived, poverty stricken (and ultimately water-doomed) history:

Hope you lot evolve gills fast so you can continue to pump out cheap undies while everyone else moves ahead. Certainly cannot export something of worth that an Aussie lass will enjoy....thats for sure.

That's why car ownership is so low in beedeestan. They can't see over the steering wheel so what's the purpose of owning a car?

.
You are such a idiot.
India now also exports cars to japan(japanese brand) , which are manufactured in india.
Which in turn after being second hand are exported to bangladeshis.
Either way you dont know you are using indian or japani car.

Idiot.. in BD you have to import 2nd hand car only from the country of origin. Nobody can import a Japanese manufactured car from Dubai, neither an american car from India.

Everybody knows the shoddy state of Indian car and that is why nobody buys it in Bangladesh. Even ask burmese who are a fan of low grade Indian defense equipment wants to own a Indian made car.

@Aung Zaya @Nilgiri

Enlighten yourself:

Now go back to focusing on how to get your country to buy more than a measly 20,000 cars (15,000 secondhand clunkers) per year.

Thats suzuki company made car with Maruti right?
Thats tells everything.. No need to elaborate. :)

Listen Neem-nuts - Bangladeshis know very well which Bheekhari hatchback models made in India get exported to Japan (considered Luxe models in Kanjoosi Indian market but considered mere economy models in Japan, like the Suzuki Baleno hatchback). Those will not last long enough to be termed re-conditioned.

Even the re-conditioned car exporters in Japan have minimum standards.:disagree:

I bet you to go find more than a dozen Indian Balenos in the streets of Dhaka, they don't buy Bheekhari cars like Balenos. The most common models in use in Dhaka are Toyota Allion and Premio models. Nobody will be caught dead in a Baleno, or worse - an Indian-made one.

Kolkata has a much more efficient public transport system, and the roads are wider and planned properly, unlike the mess that Dhaka is. Flyovers have helped, you can reach from one end of Kolkata to the other, around 60 Kms, in one hour now.

Bangladesh needs to get those rikshaws of the roads, and provide these people with other jobs.

Thanks. I'm personally glad that Kolkata firms have not built Dhaka's flyovers considering the track record. What was the fault with this one?

I'm not to sure what you are trying to say but they are बौने so they cannot see over the steering wheel. When there is widespread अकाल the people become बौने।

While these Pao-bhaji morons are dancing in ecstasy about their 'indigenous' garbage-producing 'achievement', let me enlighten the rest of you with some nuggets of their unparalleled 'vedic' technology, capable of only producing the lowest form of excreta in the vehicular universe, the crap they are polluting the rest of the world with.

Yes I'm talking about none other than the flimsy tinfoil rolling disasters-on-wheels (aka deathtraps) made in that God-forsaken dump known as 'Endeya' (Renault’s Kwid, Hyundai Eon and Maruti Suzuki’s Celerio) which failed every crash test conducted by Global NCAP in Europe. I'm surprised they haven't banned these in Europe yet. Cheap? Cheaper?? Cheapest??? Can you say 'Holy Indian crap' boys and girls ??

"The tests showed that either poor structure or lack of air bags in the cars exposed occupants to life-threatening injuries, Global NCAP said. The results echoes similar findings in earlier tests by the watchdog on a different group of Indian cars.................David Ward, secretary general of Global NCAP told The Wall Street Journal that the results “reflect a legacy problem in India which is a lack of regulation and also consumer’s lack of awareness.

Global NCAP strongly believes that no manufacturer anywhere in the world should be developing new models that are so clearly sub-standard,” he said. “Car makers must ensure that their new models pass the UN’s minimum crash test regulations............."

R you serious ?
Due to malnutrition they become short from Mind and length ?

Bytheway I was refering there disastrous personality however rich they may be but all looks like rikshapullar, even if ther own car they looked as Driver driving car

.
Some Achhyut Morons are still talking about invincible Balenos.

Here's your effing invincible Baleno, enjoy the view......:omghaha:

Shove it up where the sun don't shine.....can't sell 'em at home and trying to push these our way.....keep it in 'Endeya'.

Lying dhokeybaaj Acchyut morons....:omghaha:

You must be awarded a Nobel Prize on invention of false news. Japan has a system to control its exports at the Ports. The vehicles have to be transported at certain points in the Port area to check for radiation by the Inspectors after the earthquake and Tsunami that destroyed the Fukushima nuclear plant in 2011.

Japan strictly follows a proclaimed decree. It is not like a 3rd rate country called India. So, please do not post all your bullshit news. When exporters cannot export a car with radiation, how do you state that BD Ports were full of those cars?
