BBC World News blocked in Pakistan

Then why the hell are you living in canada and not in pakistan? Hypocrisy at its best, there is no need to benchmark India to Pakistan, results speak for themselves at least we don’t have the whole world calling us as a nation which is the epi-centre of terrorism. You can’t help but bash India with the drop of the hat. I am not going to reason with your idiotic brain farts. its evident that your very uneducated and cant take feedback.

India gets everything it wants from global diplomacy and has good relations will all countries most of them are all praises for India’s achievements, what is Pakistan good for? We have a thriving tourism industry and able to hold & host several international events i.e: Indian Grand Prix what have you guys accomplished. can the same be said about pakistan? i think not, so stop spewing hatred and post something useful associated with the threads topic.

I wonder how early does the brainwashing in your society take place.

All the "achievements" you mentioned about your country is nothing more than window dressing. Behind this facade of "success & achievements" you really see an ugly side of your raksha-bharat. A cesspool of corruption, severe abject poverty, human right abuses, hindu terrorism and much more!

Pakistanis do not live in denial to the problems their country is facing today unlike the banya.

you know nothing about telecom in Pakistan; see where it was 15 years ago and see where it is today

Some of 3G bandwidth overlaps with bandwidth of some Army equipment, so army is needed to consult which bandwidth they don't need. After that there is bidding process for bandwidth because not all mobile company will get it as it will be expensive. After bidding company will require minimum of 6 months to start their service. So, wait for 2013-2014 to get your 3G or if you are lucky then you may get it soon if your government execute it fast.

 Trust me, you don't have to worry about China making cheap imitations of British inventions like credit default swaps and people still freezing to death in one of the richest nations on earth.

UK snow: Big freeze death toll rises and threatens Christmas delivery chaos | Mail Online

BBC News - Gas prices rising: Can you cut your bill by 15%?

There were 25,400 deaths caused by cold weather last winter, according to the Office for National Statistics, with most of the deceased aged 75 and over.

Hold on bro! You don't want to hurt the British ego too much. Let's just sit back and watch them collapse under their own weight.

What I find most concerning about this affair is that it isn't the government or the courts but a group of cable operators who have enforced censorship. What next? ISPs deciding which sites you can visit and which you cannot?

Not sure about Pakistan but Indian cable operators before the advent of DTH had a virtual monopoly on providing cable services. It is scary how such a group can enforce their world view on the rest. Regulations should be introduced immediately to prevent cable operators from controlling content provided to their subscribers.

In the UK at the moment the whole methodology they have of reporting news is been massively investigated. There has been incidents where the press have been illegally hacking into peoples phones. The press here are complete scumbags. They even listened into widows of soldiers that had lost their lives in Afghanistan - what could they gain out of that?
The BBC are no different - they sensationalize stories to gain viewers or listeners. They promote Pakistan and India appallingly and i dont blame this action being taken. They are lying scum and until they learn to report facts and not fake stories then keep them away! They should be commended for their decision!

At this rate, Pakistan could ban every single news website, if one of the best news site is now banned in Pakistan

One can get Al Jazeera for $50 a month. Almost as much as the whole cable bill for the month in US.

3G is good for on the go net if you need to be browsing youtube videos or something......the data packages provided by the companies in Pakistan arent too bad --especially blackberry services.

there's wifi connection all over the place, at least in the big cities.....

bbc used to be more objective in the past; now they engage in slanderous and biased reports......in fact Pakistan should sue BBC

A nation peddling backwards furiously. This kind of censorship has happened elsewhere in the world under communism for example, and it never works. In the end the human need to learn, be informed and be free to chose surpasses all obstacles.

You people probably have missed the taste of missiles raining down on London after the Nazi Germany screwed you, but don't worry, you'll taste our missiles this time. maybe not with nuclear warheads, but with chemical and biological war heads if necessary. Actually nuclear warheads are no good, because you people will die in a blink, chemical and biological warheads can kill you slowly and painfully. let alone dirty bombs though that Iran is indeed capable of producing them now.

Though I disagree with the clown, killing innocent people no matter who they are is an act of terrorism!

No, nothing. Only supplied all the weapons for Shia militia to kill British troops and now supplying the Taliban too. Only funded Hezbollah to kidnap British people.

A Chinese man talking about democracy

Go chew on a Tiger penis to give you virility or cure your flu, you silly backward Chinese man.

No amount of ground Rhino horn will make your little pecker grow to western sizes

China, what a joke of a country. Remember when you came with your Olympic torch to Britain? see the 'welcome' you got? a well deserved protest against your crimes.

dont feed this troll; report his post and he'll be sent packing very soon

Usually it's a regime/dictatorship acting against the will of the people that implements censorship.

Here we have Pakistanis supporting the notion that they will be denied the chance to watch the BBC. That shows you just how backwards Pakistan is and how deep the problems are in their society.

We're talking about a country where just defending a woman who has been sentenced to death for blasphemy, gets you killed.

At first I thought these pro-censorship Pakistanis were just regime stooges paid to go online and spread propaganda.

Sad. At this rate Pakistan will be left behind by Africa as it slowly advances.

it's our laws and our country, what's it to you or your tiny island country?

media is free to operate in Pakistan -- there is a legit reason why BBC specifically has been targetted. They slander Pakistan and its institutions and they are misinformation which hurts the sentiments of all Pakistanis --many of whom have suffered in this war against terrorism
