I don't get what they have against Punjabis...but then again they hate each other too Tajik VS Pasthuns, Hazara VS Pasthuns, Tajik VS Hazara, etc. No wonder they're in such a mess

i can understand if old-fashioned and old-type thinking Afghans would hate the Sikhs (who happened to be Punjabi) but you're right it makes little sense otherwise.

you have to understand that a lot of these marxist minded so-called ''nationalist'' Afghans (so nationalistic that they were born overseas and never even went to their home country) are so brain-washed into thinking they are some superior ''white'' Aryan race. It's a strange mindset, but you know how it is. Racism on our part of the world is not a new thing. Look at north vs. south indians to get an idea.

and yes -- the internal divisions in Afghanistan are one of the main reasons behind their mess......it's total jahhalat if you ask me. Ethnicity is a very silly thing to worry about -- especially in countries that are ethnically diverse.

Reminds me of the time Sikhs ruled Punjab and central KP, mothers in Kabul used to frighten their kids into behaving saying "chup sho, (ranjeet singh) nalwah me aayad"!

I am a hotaki a pukhtoon i share no culture or genetics with Indians, also Hindu does not mean Indian its a religion nor does Sikh mean Punjabi, i have seen white hare Krishna Hindus but practising Hinduism doesn't make them Indian.

Baloch and pukhtoon share nothing with Indians and some Pakistanis that do only do so with northern Indians and not with dravidians who are true Indians.

I've defended Pakistan in comments sections and other forums in the past....and as a Pashtun, they were labelling me a ''black Punjabi agent'' and the usual rhetoric like that

you should remember though that many times indian trolls go in large numbers and join those forums...other times it's just overseas Afghans who have been brainwashed -- in fact many of them have never even stepped foot in Afghanistan once in their life nor do they know Darri, Pashto or any of the other local languages.

To market my book, Badal which is mainly about Pashtuns in Pakhtunkhwa and their role in the War on Terror it is utterly critical that the Pashtuns (from both Pakhtunkhwa and Afghanistan) accept my book. (you can go to Havi Sultan's Webspace and from there to projects/badal to find out more) For this reason I have continually made my appearance on Afghan forums and Pashtun forums. What I have found there has shocked me. Not a day passes without insults going around against Pakistan.

I have come to find Pashtuns to be one of the most patriotic communities in Pakistan. On those forums however its an insult to actually use the word Pakistani. The second biggest insult is Punjabi. However I have come to notice that at least some of the members within are Pashtuns within Pakistan frustrated by our failure to defeat the taliban and kill Hakimullah Mahsud. Or otherwise supporters of the Taliban.

Because I noticed citizens of Pakistan insulting Pakistan like they hated it I have continually been proposing that the government take up the problems Pashtuns in Pakistan are facing or we risk alienating them. After all the Pashtun is the one who is dying most in this war. He should have the largest say in how this war is fought. Also the officer ranks of the Pakistan army should also have more Pashtuns....

Personally I have a deep love for the Pashtun race. For the future of my book which greatly needs attention and promotion at this stage and not to offend Pakistani Pashtuns or lost brothers I have had to maintain my silence when Pakistan has been (it happens constantly) insulted.

I personally believe the best way to deal with lost brothers is to accept them and understand them. Not insult them back. That way at least you win some respect. But I am shocked.

From the Pakistani perspective Pakistan joined the war in the 1980's to help their Afghan brothers. Today we are hated in Afghanistan for it. How could we tell how things would turn out? Its sad.

You do realize that a Buddhist religion came all the way from the north of continent to take shape as hindusim in what is known as India today. Hence the HinduKush and Battagram, both are located towards the north!

These people have no idea of what they are talking about. You cant refuse DNA results which shows completly different picture, one that Pakistanis dont want know. Fact is Pakistani people who live now have been living there for 7000-14000 years according to DNA results. Personally i feel they should be proud of their past because our ancestors archived many things back then which are still relevant today. In near future when DNA testing will be normal and everything will be doing it then they will come to their senses.

I now laugh everytime someone say they are Sayyid in Pakistan which mean descendants of the prophet Muhammad. Im pretty sure these Sayyid will never accept DNA results which will clearly shows who they really are.

The ones that hate Pakistan or punjabis have never lived in Afghanistan and dont know first thing about Afghanistan or its history, they reside in usa, Canada etc and are so called net afghans.


I with many pukhtoons share so much love for Pakistan and its all ethnic groups who have ancestral connection to this land.

Afghans have been beaten by us when they decided to cast an evil eye on our land, no need for pak army just the tribals are enough for them.

You have to understand that many Indians pretend to be afghans as they pretend to be Pakistani , you can not sink any deeper then lining up under someone else's flag.

Indians call afghans barbarians and invaders and because of them they never had a nation until 1947 and even then pretend to be their best friends but little do they know that leopard never changes its spot.

Dear sir i am happy to accept dna results if they show that baloch and pukhtoons share dna and genetics with Indians.

When you Say that people have lived there for 7000 years may be true but these people kept changing just look back at history, regarding sayyed does not mean bushill genetics only it can mean spiritually.

Sayyad generally refers to people who are related and have ancestry with Prophet PBUH & his family.....you have many Shiia and Sunni Sayyads all over the world -- Pakistan included. In fact my mother's side of family comes from Sayyad ancestry.

Pakistan would literally have to physically throw them out for them to leave.

Since afghanistan is going to remain a mess for a long time to come, afghan refugees wont leave easily.
