that way Bangladeshis will stop eating beef and think of eating beef as a Pakistani-ish and razakar-ish thing to do, which is a no-no for the pure Bengali person. and Indians can have more and more cows to themselves for worship.

Rajnath Singh should be a little more smart.

he should say: evil Pakistanis forced their Punjabi food, which is beef, on the veg eating good people of Bengal. so beef is basically a Pakistani food and it will destroy local Bengali people's veg food. there should be a Bengali Food Movement in BD protesting the unjust imposition of beef on Bengali people. burning of Pakistan flag and photos of MA Jinnah, AK Fazal ul Haq, etc. could also be included. the Bengali Food Movement activists should get into a fight with police. and when the BD police will beat them up, they should erect Shaheed Minar (with Rajnath Singh's financing) to commemorate the dead and injured. there will be one day selected every year where Bengali Food martyrs will be remembered.

I grew up with Banglis in Karachi before 71 happened, to my knowledge Bangalis always ate Mosli...what changed in last 30 years?

Pakistanis should apologize for imposing meat on 'Bengali' people and for snatching away our beautiful vegetarian food right from our mouth. that was unacceptable.

nope not that i can remember, I even remember the phrase, mosli bhat khaya. mabbe they were from the part of Bangladesh where people mostly east mosly

Extra business for us. How would our Bangla friends like a fine Lahori Nihari, Siri Paye and Beef Karahi

i would also request my Lahori friends to try out Chatgai kalia and mezbani gosht (while we still have bovine supply from India i.e.). i never had Karachi nihari but heard typical Karachi restaurant nihari is similar to those found in Chittagong towns. i had Lahori nihari (restaurant was owned by people from Lahore) in the US and was fabulous but found the concept to be a little different. Lahori nihari, paya ,roti and tall glass of Lahori lassi is bliss

I love the Bengali dal chawal and machli. Amazing food.
