@Anubis
@Doyalbaba

Anubis,
  1. are you OK being called a 'creep'?
  2. should I remove the negative rating?

As Current Bangladesh government is trying to appease India too hard they are annoying the Bangladeshis. So the more government people and their stooges will try to get too sisterly with West Bengal, the more common Bangladeshi Muslims will hate both their government and India's. Anti Indian sentiment is highest in Bangladesh right now.

:D Two negatives make a positive...from the prodigy of a paid mercenary of a genocidal military force any negative remark is accepted with pride. Did you know the Pakistan army paid his grandfather to leave Pakistan after they had no use for him after the war? And he still pledges allegiance to them.

How can we not accept your assessment, considering how much credibility you have built up in our minds over the years? And considering the vast array of military and social knowledge that you have displayed?

If he was a razakar, or a jamaati, or a Pakistani, why are you posting under a Bangladesh flag?

Mosha mere haat kalo koiren na.

Oshobhyere tiroshkar korte nai? Tai thak.

Dhonodhannyo Pushpe Bhora Amar Boshundhora
Emon Desti Kothao Tumi Khuje Nako Tumi
She Je Amar Jonmo Bhumi, Amar Jonmo Bhumi.

It was a Dwijendralal Roy composition.

You are right, it is easy to sing or even to hum; it used to be a Slow March for uniformed personnel,including the EFR. But the rousing quick marches were Nazrul songs. 'Chol chol chol' was one; 'Kandari hoshiar' was another.

Sorry for any mistakes. The poem/song above was written by a famous Hindu Poet. I forgot his name. During 1971 war time there were quite a long discussions in the Cabinet of the then BD govt. in exile if this or Tagor's Amar Shonar Bangla ---- should be made the National song of Bangladesh. Finally, they decided to take Amar Shonar Bangla. Our national song is really difficult for normal people to sing. It is too high a tone/tune. I like the one above because wordings are rich and the melody is easy to sing.

I have full doubt about someone claimed he newly put melody to 'Amar Shonar---' poem, because the melody completely accords with the melody of a Baishnab song of a 1953 Calcutta film, named, 'Rai Komol,' the main roles played by Uttam and Kaberi Bose. One can hit the computer to get the movie on the computer screen.

Asylum from his own country? Asylum from Pakistan which had and still has a perfectly functioning government? His allegiance lay in west Pakistan, a state which is still pretty much intact as it was in 1971....he never needed asylum...they just kicked him out because his use ran out...and a traitor to his own people is always a potential traitor to his master.

Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi....he is apparently an ex-East Pakistani, and thinks that 'Bangladesh banega Pakistan'! :D

I wud go with Bangal.

Banga is a north Indian surname.

West Bengalis call East Bengalis (Bangladeshis) Bangal instead of Bangali due to distinct Bengali accent which is very different from accent used in Kolkata. In other way Bangal means Bangladeshis in India. Bangal accent is considered 'backward' and 'rural' accent in West Bengal. Kolkatan accent is considered standard and elite accent of Bengali. The intellectuals of Bangladesh use Kolkatan accent which is called 'Promito Bangla' in Bangladesh.

Banga is the name to go. Bangla means Bangladesh and Banga means Indian Bengal.
