Bangladeshi soldier captured in Tripura

Its strange to read remarks from ' eye witnesses' when everything is mere conjecture.

The truth may well be something entirely different.

What I posted is based on what Indian eye witness have said... That he was working outside of the fence. 2nd last paragraph also points towards that...

.According to a government official, about 8,750 families comprising over 50,000 people in the state have been affected by the ongoing construction of the barbed wire fencing along the border with Bangladesh. Properties, including fields and ponds of many, have fallen outside the fence.

The terrorist Krishna Narayan Kar must have been farming inside BD territory and the RAB trooper rightly tried to capture. Typical BSF terrorist infringed BD territory with BCB's hand tied behind their back thanks to awami indian dalals and the indian media true to their reputation found a good propaganda piece and twisted the story. These scum BSF hizras will pay for these with the ouster of awami dalals.

Brother RAB has no jurisdiction in the border. Its a BGB territory. And RAB never goes alone with a civilian. I still think its a personal affair between them and Indian.

No in Tripura border has been fenced at 0 border line that means working outside fense means it is in Bangladesh. As it is a paddy field so some other Indians also was around. They protested the arrest and captured both as they were only 2 but those Indians were many.

The last 2 paragraph of the article indicates the same.

I almost agreed with you.

Till I read this ..

..Never known terrorists to be farming across borders though.

But there have been past cases where indians came to farm inside BD territory and even though
it may be personal , you can't trust Indian media. And current BGB has become useless thanks
to orders from higher ups.

I almost agreed with you.

Not only in some places but in most of the Tripura n this place is no different. Otherwise why he would have work outside fence and why Indian authority would fence a place which affect other people's land when fence can be extend unto 0 line.

Good luck with your first hand accounts , ' visions' and ' sightings'.

If BSF not klling our army officers and gang raping their wives makes them hizras as per a jamaati internet terrorist, so be it. As far as we are concerned they are doing their duty.

Well done BSF handing over the intruders back alive to BD. Helps dispel the jamaati propaganda.

This should set the cat among the pigeons ..

BSF returns 2 nationals | Bangladesh | bdnews24.com

"Agartala/Moulvibazar, Jul 6 (bdnews2four.com) — The Indian border forces have returned two Bangladeshis, including a RAB man, 10 hours after they were picked up from near the border.

The Bangladeshi border security force and the elite crime-busters Rapid Action Battalion say that the RAB member Shafiqul Islam and his informer Subrata were abducted across the border by associates of a smuggler the duo had detained.

The duo, originally picked up around 3pm on Thursday, were later moved to a camp of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF).

They were returned after several sounds of negotiations with the Border Guards Bangladesh and the Indian border security.

The RAB commander of Srimangal camp ASP Manzoor Ahmed Siddiqui told bdnews24.com that both Shafiqul and Subrata are in good health.

"In order to catch a local drug peddler Selim, RAB raided a village along the border – Kunjaban of Shrimangal's Sindurkhan union – Thursday afternoon," bdnews24.com Moulvibazar correspondent Qamrul Ambia quoted BGB 14 Rifles Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Abdur Rahim.

"Although RAB managed to get hold of Selim", He said, "Selim's associates were succeed to abducted Shafiqul and Subrata."

BGB officials said the incident took place near the border pillar 1944 close to a BSF camp.

The elite forces commander Manjur Ahmed said BSF officials 'rescued' the RAB official and his informer and took them to their camp at Chambu Basti.

He said SI Shafiqul was in plain clothes but 'he had his identity card with him'.

However, bdnews24.com Agartala correspondent quoted BSF as saying, "Some Indian villagers handed over the duo to BSF after detaining them."

Abdur Rahim said BSF handed over the two men around 1.30am Friday after a battalion level flag meeting.

BSF 73 Battalion Commander Raghubir Singh led the Indian side while Abdur Rahim and 14 Rifles Operation Officer Major Tawhid Bin Ishaq represented Bangladesh at the meeting.

Earlier, BSF had handed over a member of the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB), nearly 21 hours after he was allegedly kidnapped by Indian 'smugglers' along the Comilla border in January."

They probably gone with a personal mission. I am sure the Indian borrowed money from this Subrata guy.

Yes, money is the reason, but not borrowing may be Subrata Guy's wife(housemaid) was not paid for her work by Indian.

Thanks for sharing. That means illegal land grabbing by Tipras in BD territory has been going on for decades. Just we haven't been smart enough to make this an issue.

This title is misleading. RAB ia a Police outfit, and the guy involved was not a soldier. That does not diminish the perplexity, if not gravity, of the incident.
