@Bilal9 bhai check out this music video of Brishty Islam.I remember you have posted some picture of her in this thread.:-)

Thanks. :-)

She does look very good but she would help her career a thousand fold (and us viewers too) if she hired a personal trainer and an acting coach. Hope she's doing those things..... :-)

It's a tough world out there in the media industry. I was especially amazed to see the recent transformation of some models/actresses, seems like they got the message.

See Peya in post #1963 in the page before (first few images) and how her looks have changed (probably because she hit the gym).

.
Some shots of Sabila Nur (I think her shots are a bit hard to find - they are mostly private). Sorry about the quality of the cellphone images. She is the nuttiest of all recent actresses we have, no wish to promote herself with photoshoots or anything. Too young I guess.

Peya Bipasha has a nice body, not too skinny nor too fat.

Best shot among the lot.

Well its hard to explain unless you watch her acting which is 'juvenile' to put it mildly. She jumps and monkeys around a lot.

To date I have not seen her try to market her 'aura' of a model/actress seriously with model photo shoots or by modeling boutique clothing, which is the usual thing in her circles. She also doesn't care to accentuate her features by being careful about her makeup, unlike a lot of local models. But to each her own I guess.

Being juvenile is becoming of a young woman and alluring to a lot of her male fans so that is part of her appeal. Like being a tomboy.

@knight errant would you agree?

Yeah, that's true, yet she is one of the most searched celebrity in Bangladesh, especially among our generation and they like teenage/juvenile type personality in girls. Who knows, maybe our taste is similar to Japanese/Koreans. :-)

A very good natok of Piya Bipasha. Very elegant and refreshing here she is. @Bilal9 check this out.:-)
Khub shundor bastobik kahini. Bangladeshe majhe majhe bhalo kichu natok toiri hoy ja dekhle monta bhalo hoye jay. Dhonnobad ei natokti ekhane deoar jonno nahole hoyto dekha hotona :-) ar ha Peya Bipashar character tar moto bou amader Bilal bhaier jonno khoja dorkar, ki bolen?(Bilal bhai abar rag korienna kintu) ;)

In this shot she looks like the Indian Hindi TV serials actress, Tejaswi Prakash Wayangankar :

Yeah, the face is pretty similar. I guess the actress is ethnic Marathi as her surname suggest. Many marathi surnames end up with "kar" iirc :-)

You have good knowledge. :)

The "kar" is the affixer of the hometown of the clan a Marathi person belongs too. Like Ambegaonkar or Chandavarkar. The "gaon" of course refers to a place.

The one variation I have found is the Bengali surname "Karmakar".

Excellent! Afran Nisho and Peya were both naturals. :-)

I like the realism in the story line. Well acted.

I think 'Kar' in Bengali refers to what one does. 'Karma' means 'work' of course, but in this context it means workmanship of earthenware, simple ceramics, crockeries and puja idols. 'Karmakar' (or 'Koomar' in village Bengali slang) means people who make oven-fired crockery earthenware, which was very common in use all over India prior to the introduction of ceramics. Crockery ware made of Metal (copper, cast iron and especially Kansa) was expensive and less common but even those metal-working artisans had separate names denoting their tribal and artisan affiliation. I know that people who make jewelry out of conch shell material (Shankha) are known as Shankhari and the place where they live and work in old Dhaka is called Shankhari-potti (Shankhari-town). This social stratification is more common in Hindu society per the caste system.

Pardon the OT segway. :-)
