Bangladesh witnessed massive anti-Pakistan protests on International Mother Language Day

Where do you find fish biryani ?

my family has some history in East Pakistan. my mom knows my dad loves fish a lot (from his Dhaka days) so she makes fish biryani for him sometimes, along with other fish recipes. she said the recipes were passed down to her from her side of the family that lived in East Pakistan. so first time i had fish biryani was in Karachi, and i still have it now in Bahrain if i go the Bangladeshi small restaurants.

We like meat more than fish.

my dad always says to eat fish, it makes you smarter, like Bengalis, who i was told eat a lot of fish because of Bay of Bengal and all the rivers. maybe younger Bangladeshi generation are more McDonald-ised and the older Bangladeshi generations prefer fish?

Actually river fish and fish of marsh taste better. But fishes cultivated in ponds are hybrid and taste bad. Yes fishes from rivers are good , but still meat is more favorite in Bangladesh. And we eat eat as curry alongside boiled rice aka bhaat, that is our staple food!

Younger people like fast foods very much too , but not as main food!

Omega 3 fatty acids are known to help with congnitive development.
I do not know about "Bengalis being smarter".

Fish definitely has may upsides and usually can be had in large quantities without adverse health impacts.

Is the dish your mom cooks commonly known as "fish biriyani" in Pakistan? I just googled and found that "fish biriyani" is a known dish in South India.

We typically do not associate "biriyani" with fish, as our general conception of biriyani is that the rice needs to be sauted with the meat for an extended period. Can't saute fish cuts in rice for too long as the cut would disintegrate.

Any association of oil cooked rice with fish becomes "polao" in Bangladesh as the rice and fish are cooked separately for the most part and then sauted for a little bit at the end. Fish polao is very common in BD.

On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, different socio-cultural organizations and civil society platforms took part in processions-cum human-chain programmes, bicycle-rally and Seminars in Dhaka and other Divisional towns in Bangladesh.

While paying homage to the brave-hearts who lost their lives, speakers recalled with horror the role of Pakistan occupation forces to suppress the movement and brutal crackdown on innocent citizens.

Bangladesh Social Activists Forum (BSAF), a prominent NGO having roots in the nationalist movement of the country, held memorial meetings and processions in various parts of the country. The speakers paid homage to the fallen soldiers of Bengali national movement and criticized the wily rule of Pakistani dictators who tried to suppress the Bengali national movement and freedom struggle of Bangladesh.

In Dhaka, volunteers of BSAF offered floral tribute at Dhaka Central Shaheed Minar followed by a rally of over one hundred people which passed through Dhaka University, National Museum and culminated at Dhaka Press Club. Freedom fighters, intellectuals, scholars etc participated in the function. In Khulna a rally of over hundred people including twenty motor bikes was held from Shaheed Hadith Park and culminated at Gallamari Shaheed Budhijeevi Memorial. Similar rallies and memorial meetings were held in Rajshahi, Benepole and Patuakhali (Bangladesh).

During the rally, posters condemning Pakistan for its brutal attempt to suppress the Bengali language movement in 1952 were displayed. In their address, speakers pledged not to forget the atrocities committed by Pakistan on hapless Bengali people.

‘Open Dialogue Bangladesh’ organized a seminar cum discussion meeting at Economic Reporter’s Forum Hall Dhaka on the subject ‘52’s Language Movement and Independence’. Approximately one hundred and fifty people including prominent individuals and liberation war veterans participated in the function. Monirul Hasan Bulbul, Senior Journalist and former secretary of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), Govind Chandra Pramanik senior Advocate, Dr. Manoranjan Ghoshal, veteran freedom fighter, BasudevDhar, President Indian Media Correspondent Association etc spoke on the occasion. The speakers, in their address remembered the evil intention of Pakistan to snatch Banglalanguage and culture through their ‘Urdu only’ policy which freedom loving Bengali population vehemently opposed. The speakers remembered that Pakistan’s designs to control Bangladesh are unabated and still continuing in various forms. They pledged to resist the nefarious designs of Pakistan and continue to fight to protect the much fought freedom and liberation of the country.

Bharat Bangladesh Sampriti Sangshta (BBSS) Welfare Association organized a bicycle rally. Around one hundred and thirty five people took part in the rally led by Taufiq Ahmed Tasfir, President of the organization. The rally started from Nikunja, passed through Road No. 71 where Pakistan High Commission is located and terminated at GulshanAvenue. Speaking during the programme, speakers stated that innocent Bangladeshi people were victimized by the Pak forces who wanted to suppress the freedom of speech of Bengali people. They urged the govt. to sever all kinds of bilateral relations with Pakistan, the killer of thirty lakh Bangladeshis.

Participants were holding placards with slogans such as ‘Pakistan wanted to kill Bengali’s freedom of speech’, ‘we will not forgive Pakistan who emptied the lap of mother for speaking in mother language’, ‘ those who did not accept our Banglalanguage cannot be our friends’ etc.

When one dwells in the past, then one becomes incapable of living in the present and in doing so, forsakes one's future.

I have always stated to me fellow countrymen (Pakistanis) that in order for us to become successful in this world, we must be sincere and uncompromisingly staunch in following the Sunnah of Nabi Muhammad Alaihi Salaat-u-Wassalam and devoting our time to the study of the Noble Qur'an.

So to my fellow Muslim brothers and sisters in Bangladesh, if we Pakistanis and Bangladeshis make the sincere effort toward establishing our relationship with Allah Subhanahu Wata'aalah. Then the old wounds of the past shall heal.

In Biryani, you do not "saute" meat with the rice. Rice is boiled separately -al dente (left a little uncooked). Any meat Beef/Mutton/Chicken is cooked separately with all the spices then you build alternating layers of rice and your meat/spice mix in a pot. You seal the pot and put it back on low heat. The steam from the meat curry cooks the rice completely and infuses the rice with spicy fragrance and flavor. You then mix up Layers of rice that may have been colored yellow with the meat/spice mix as you serve.

It is 9.30 AM here, and now I am hungry for some good spicy biryani.

Yes, it's massive same as like 30 million dead.
in Bangladesh you guys like fish biryani more or the chicken/beef ones?

What is fish biryani?
So you probably realized that what is the massive anti Pakistan force in Bangladesh and they are few hundreds in numbers.

These massive amount of protestors are also anti China.

Now you realise that the few hundred protestors are actually directly paid by raw.

So it's clear ,contrary to popular belief , India's grip isn't so tight in Bangladesh!

So sad that even the number is not even 28!

Remember @Bilal9 bhai the number of Muktizuddho moncho launched a protest to re establish the FF quota system?

Their numbers were 28 ! So 28 people's massive movement to 30% FF quota!

According to my source, one of the protestor was you. Is this correct 🤔?

Fish Biryani is a first bro, we eat a lot of riverine fish but each region has their specialities with regards to those fish dishes. In terms of the younger generation, they prefer Meat & Chicken almost all the time, especially with poultry being affordable to many now.

Nah ustadji it's not correct , because I don't do such low paid jobs.

I do bigger jobs and take huge amount of payment that they can't provide.

Only BAL and Jamat e Islami can fulfill my demand and pay me such huge amount of money, and that's why I work for both of them ( BAL AND Jamat) as double agent , and I thought you know this as a Jamati armchair General! :omghaha:
