His pledge became redundent when Pak force started genocide in 25th march night. After than, any Bengali who served Pakistani forces became a traitor and war criminal.

Most of the Bengali members in Army, air force, navy, police, border guard stationed in East Pakistan defected on masses after 25th march and formed the nucleus of Mukti Bahini. But some scumbag decided to stay and engaged in war crime like this one.
Being bangali what are you doing on Pakistan defence forum. When you people hate Pak so much...why dont you just leave this group. Go and join Bangladesh defence or indian defence or whatsoever.

Bloody india will eat you when he will be hungry . And that hunger is not far away just wait and watch the decline that you people will face in the hands of india.

My encounters with some very senior Bengali Officers was beyond just great. During Gen (R) Kyani's COAS term.. a get together was arranged in PMA Kakul where we were invited with families. Formations were made with the old fellows struggling to walk. Just they way the formations were when the course passed out of PMA. And to our surprise, we got to meet a whole lot of Bengali Officers from the course with their families.

I cannot forget the tears and emotions. Some of them were crying and some had tears of joy. Some of them had met for the first time after they passed out from PMA decades ago. And it felt as if it was only yesterday.

All those Bengali officers rose in their ranks to the highest positions in the Bengali Army. And all of them were of the view in their individual speeches, that a grave mistake had been made in trusting India over Pakistan. And all of them wished the old days to come back. Obviously an emotional wish..

A picture with stories from the past 45 years 6 months and 21 days!

To which course does your father belong to? As I'm smelling an army brat in you.

This is their true nature. It's time Pakistanis started taking notice. They aren't my "brothers", and never will be.

Those who are Muslims and true to their faith and not Muslim for namesake are our brothers but other than that the atheist one's, hindus and those who highlight nationalism alot by 1971 are nobody and are the biggest reason for not allowing Bangladesh to grow, these people allow the like of Hasina to rule and are damaging the rest of nation, all this is due to few of these people.

Going overseas for picking garbage? How many indians and Pakistanis are picking garbage in UAE, or Malaysia? Better opportunities lie in your own country not abroad where you are the behest of a foreign population. Earning livelihood in GCC or South East Asia countries is short term as they don't allow you to settle.

I was looking into your economy and feelig angry why can't u press your govt. to build own electricity projects infrastructure? Bangladesh is littered with 'planned' projects with zero implemented [RAngpur nuclear plant rofl] the end result buying 60 MW electricity from India's underdeveloped TRipura region which is risky.

East Pakistan had variety of water resources, most of which have been surrendered by the Bangladeshi muktijoddhas to the indians. Bangladesh has literally surrendered its water supply to india and buys electricity from them not building their own. India is in a great position to chuck out sovereignity of theres one at a time with Bangladesh on their plate
cleaner jobs? i haven;t seen a single pakistanis ever.... nowadays they're all done by indians... but the arabs used to pay bengalis a lot less than what indian labours go for.... thanks to india's govt negotiating proper deals....

well not really, there are many who have settled in GCC countries... pakistanis, indians and bengalis alike.... they keep their visa renewed, study and then go back to this countries to settle.... plus opportunities to buy appartment nowadays grants you permanant residence.

maybe you haven't read into the electricity improvements in the last 10 years but i remember back when i was a kid, dhaka was basically dark like North korea.... nowadays hardly there is any power outage... if there is it's mostly due to transformers blowing with excessive rain water deposits... which is fixed like in an hour or two

the nuclear power plant is under construction... this year the reactor is going ti be installed and prepared to run.... test phase starts from 2019 with full on operational load from 2022 when the reactor would have settled in! the building and other facilities are complete....

well bangladesh buys extra electricity nowadays from india to ensure farmers get proper water to irrigate field without sacrificing consumer supply.... to basically offset the summer load! otherwise... we have basically started producing more than we need.... new areas in bangladesh have been given electricity supply incuding the border ones because we simply have the capacity now to....

I am not insulting anyone..Work is work .....
you undestand! which part of saudi arabia do you live in?
is it summer already? i have going to kuwait next month and can't wait for kuwait's scorching sun.

Hahahah I live in part of Karachi which does'nt have outage issues. Every 4 hours thats how it si bangladesh rofl? Btw I looked into your electricity projects, ZERO by this Bangla govt.. Most of the electricity is imported from India a line failure brought a nationwide outage for 24 hours in 2014 . East Pakistani city DAcca had better electricity in 1960s than the hell it is right now. With most of the resources produced locally. Modi promised bangladesh giving 1100 MW of electricity. This is a demand of half of Karachi city only. Pakistan's solar, wind, nuclear installed capacity this year is going to touch 2000+ MW.
back in 1960... there was very few consumers of electricity in bd... basically only dhaka.
we reached 16000MW a few years back and now it's more i don;t have the current figures...

bangladesh doesn't have any outage at all nowadays.
and if there is it's due to storms etc
the nationwide outage happened when the national grid workers went on a strike forcing to halt operations of all power plants throughout nation....
this govt did zero power projects.... lmao wut? i am not a supporter of this or khaleda's govt... but this govt and the last caretaker govt did great job in providing electricity....
my friend lives in lahore i believe.
each of our reactor is supposed to produce 1400MW so basically with original plans of 2400 megawatt with 3 reactors... now we'll get 2800MW on minimal load with two reactors, with theoritical production capacity for 3000MW but that won't happen not until the plant is fully operational...

Bangladesh to put former Pakistan army officer on trial for 1971 war crimes

Shahidullah is the first, amongst several other former Bengali army officers to be put on trial for crimes against humanity.

A Bengali army officer, who sided with the Pakistani forces during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, will be put on trial for committing crimes against humanity, becoming the first Pakistani army officer to face the charges. Coordinator of a special investigation cell on war crimes Mohammad Abdul Hannan on Tuesday said that the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) finalised its investigation report on accused 75-year-old former Pakistani army Captain Mohammad Shahidullah. “We found his involvement in crimes like murder, confinement, torture and looting,” Hannan told reporters. The ICT, during its investigation that continued from 11 October 2015 to 20 March 2017, could primarily prove three counts of charges against Shahidullah who been in jail since his arrest on August 2, 2016.

“He was posted in West Pakistan and on leave at his home… He reported to duty at Dhaka cantonment as the war broke out and (subsequently) committed monstrous crimes in Comilla district as he was transferred there,” Hannan said. Shahidullah is the first Bengali former army officer to be put on trial for crimes against humanity but investigations were underway against several other Bengali army officers who took part in atrocities as members of Pakistan army in 1971.

Bangladesh launched the belated process of trying 1971 war criminals in 2010 while all those who were tried until now are civilians and mostly belonged to fundamentalist Jamaat-e-Islami, which was opposed to the independence. Six 1971 war crimes convicts, including five Jamaat leaders and one from the former prime minister Khaleda Zia’s Bangladesh Nationalist Party, have been executed so far.

Three convicts were sentenced to “imprisonment until death” and two of them died in jail. Most Bengali military officers stationed in the then East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) revolted against Pakistan after the sudden crackdown on unarmed Bengali population in 1971 while several others fled West Pakistan to join the Liberation War. But 1971 war veterans and researchers said several Bengali officers were there who preferred to side with Pakistani troops and went to West Pakistan after laying down weapons along with the defeated Pakistan army.
Wasting time in dead horse. Govt has more issues to solve.

Why does it become a big deal for Pakistan everytime we prosecute our own citizen...
And secondly, these guys are charged with rape and murder for Bangladeshis. Weather they were pakistani soilders or stooges is immaterial.

. .
I do not understand why Pakistan has not cut diplomatic ties with Hasniadesh yet(formerly known as Bangladesh)?
