1971 war crimes: Bangladesh set to hang JI leader

BDesh is about to follow Ataturk's example and exterminate politics infesting their relgious circles.

Actually BD does not have extremist in politics. Even Jamaat never claim to have Sharia in this country. Besides Jamaat has 100% literacy rate among its supporter.

Two points :

1. You have no idea or no rights to talk about my voting preferences.
2. Kader Mulla was proven to be guilty by the court.

1 Good if you personally don't support a murderer to be PM of India.
2 More than Kader Mulla it was the court itself, which proved to be a kangaroo court. Such type of courts kangaroo courts and their convictions are both worthless.

Shame on you for posting fake pics and videos from JI's student wing's facebook page.

There was no Gayebana Janaza held for Butcher Kader. He became Kafir when he slaughtered hundreds. Its a sin to pray for a Kafir.

What about 50,000-500,000 Biharis killed by Mukti bahini and AL terrorists? When thy would be put on trial?

Have anyone told you you are embarking on breaking forum rule? Instead of making personal attack, argue against the statement I have made.

There is no argument.

You just flipped after reading something that didn't go along with your political sentiments.

You could NOT present any valid argument for your earlier statement. You are blaming "silly little Bangladeshis" who are protesting injustice instead of blaming perpetrators of Injustice, who hijacked justice systems, gagged media and shut down avenue to exercise peoples right. This is immoral to core. Your comments "issue about a bunch of old men" perfectly fit elitist mold but Bangladeshi mass are poor and don't see or accept elitist view.

Silly as in everyone involved. Including those who collaborated with the hijacking process. And I do hope that everyone in Bangladesh can at least use their brain a little bit more.

Jamaat's crime was that they were weak, and hence paying the price. Both intellectually, and morally. It takes more than religion to be strong.

As @Skies have said, the only reason why the AL is playing the 71' card is because it is the only card it can effectively play with. It doesn't matter how useless it may be. If they can gather support no matter how small, it is still worth it since it is the only option for them to secure votes. It doesn't matter how full of $hit it may be.

Imran H. Sarker is now a very rich man.

I think this is the only execution for BD war crimes. Others will be free very soon once BNP-Jamaat in power next year.

Really? Then why call it an "international" trial to begin with? Is it supposed to be that way under such "international" arrangement? Which "party" comes to power in Bangladesh? o_O

Did the trials against Nazi war criminals depend upon which party is in power?

You yourself just killed the trial's credibility right there.

Money, politics and hysterical sentiments do not win justice. Stop believing everything that a bunch of old people tell you to believe and do.

I am saying BNP can't hang their allies. It would be very tough for them to give any capital punishment to Jamaat leaders. They may not free all but there will be pressure from Pakistan and US to free them. BNP does have favorable relation with Pakistan. So Pakistan govt. will try its best to get involved in this matter once BNP in power.

its fun to see one less mullah on earth . sure i was happy .
you should know why Indians are thanking you . I don't understand how you obtain a General base in PK DF , Kader Mollah is not a mollah like Pakistani taliban , Mollah is his Family identity like Khan , Chowdhury etc , now I can say that without a Khan like you and darkist Talibans , Pakistan will much more better . Pakistan need heroes like Imran Khan .

The conventions under which the trial was set up must never have any impact from any political party in power.

Jamaat is inconsequential for the US. In fact, Sayedee is on America's no-fly list. It is Bangladesh that must abide by the rules of the ICC, no matter how one pictures it. The trial got way too much international attention than it deserves (not a good sign).

Bangladesh does not have any significant strategic value per say in the global scenario. It is all about playing by the rules.

And what has Pakistan officially said on the trial? Not that we know of. In fact, they don't care.

If justice is to be truly realized in this, there should be no politicians, and certainly no money changing hands. Those are what are damaging the trial's credibility from the very beginning. This is no coincidence, but a consequence.

The result we are seeing are many dead bodies, and a lot of scared people. Now that's injustice at present and more in the future. Is that really what you want for your country? All that over a few old men and some measly sums of money? Come now.

The fact that no viable and lack of evidence was brought forward, the contradictory statements it shows how much of a sham it is. They just want to weaken the opposition party as we know how vindictive Hasina is. I shouldn't even have to explain this, the Skype scandal explains what a load of crap this is, the judge came up with a verdict all for the sake of a promised promotion.

Bangladesh is seriously twisted, this man is innocent until proven guilty.

You can parrot the same line "all that over a few old men" but you neither have any moral or legal arguments. But thing is if tomorrow someone take one of your favorite family member, without valid proof, who could be an officer or a politicians and hang them for genocide on May 6th - would reaction be "all that over a few old men"? I bet not. But then again you would not have any defense either.

This whole argument about kader moolah should not divide us.it should be a lesson to remembered.
Not only the dead man himself all razakar should be hanged ,if it is proven beyond reasonable doubt that he is guilty.
Then by that same standard of prosecution, all the marked and known razakars name should be made public. All should come under the hammer.
But unfortunately only opposition elimination is the name of this game.which in turn makes this whole thing a fiasco.
My only question is why kill mollah first?when nobody can prove he was in fact koshai kader.shady story and un reliable witness doesn't prove anything. No matter how loudly you establish that.
Why the same court gave sayeedi and saka life?when it has been proven they are actually razakar.hundreds of ppl still alive can attest to that.
Doesn't it raise the questions about ALs plan regarding this trials?
They tested the water by hanging a man without knowing what jamat might do.
Now the PM has threatened the nation openly.
What s to think now?

you are in favour of death sentence on proven razakars from the war. since you want justice meted out to all razakars (including ones within BAL like hasina's sasur ji), would you also support indian razakars' (the likes and contemporaries of shiv narayan das, abdur rab, etc. and anyone that collaborated with india) serving justice because they compromised the sovereignty of the very domain we call Bangladesh today? do you think the former are more guilty (if guilty at all) because they were at the other end of the spectrum actually defending that same domain - by opposing collaboration with india? remember that this is not about war crimes, although those who collaborated with india and those who worked with the govt. and military were in war with each other and we all know what people do in a war. and remember that domain represents the land mass and interests of the same population that are known as Bangladesh nationals today, who were behind the 1905 partition of Bengal and the 1940s political resolutions which ultimately created a sovereign state with the borders we have known/know as E.Pakistan/Bangladesh

Come to think of it, AL is very likely to be testing the waters and sending some sort of message to the Jamaatis. Justice must always be meted out after the court has established the facts beyond reasonable doubt, the last bit is very important since all legal systems generally hold or at least implicitly hold that letting a guilty man walk is a lesser crime than punishing an innocent man. It is good that a known (or so has been claimed by many outside the sanctums of PDF) war criminal was hanged but indeed there is a distinct lingering reek of ulterior (political) motives.
