I simply meant to say geographic proximity gives some degree of familiarty amongst muslims coming from that region as opposed to say a Bengali Muslim and a Nigerian one.

This ^^ is what is known as pseudo-logic.

I usually avoid these threads, however this time I shall indulge !

The present economic growth and activities does not require techno innovation in a traditional sense. Entrepreneurs in Bangladesh did not wait for the Govt power companies to supply power. They figured out this on their own by installing generators on premises.

Half the population in Pakistan does not participate in economic activities, which is not the case in Bangladesh.

Freedom of media, Passport value, mobile internet speed and democracy has nothing to do with making undies !
Ah, the good ol rule of law, this thing has been replaced by something named 'speed money'. The point is corruption is rampant, but you just can't put everything on hold by refusing to pay 'speed money.' My relative got screwed by the insurance company, he sued for money without any luck as he did not want to pay the judge off.

Its just amazing how people keep going about in their business in Dhaka breathing polluted air, imagine if the air was clean !

1. Bangladesh has never claimed it’s an innovative country but by 2030 it’s aim to become one.

2. True. Infrastructure is a barrier. If you look Bangladesh is spending billions of dollar in infrastructure for better communication, to easily goes from one end to another.

Plenty of threads are there in this forum already for infrastructure development.

3. Delhi has become the worst city if I am not wrong. There are plenty of reasons for that. One is unplanned urbanization, traffic congestion etc. Bangladesh is focusing all of that seriously.

4. Most Asian countries has Air Pollution problem. Lack of monitoring and enforcement of law is the reason. Government is aware of it and working on it.

5. Dude China, India all came lower in the index. What it has to do with tiger economy?

6. True syndication and black money is rising cost of living. It needs to be addressed.

7. True. Freedom of speech is a concern. However it is not hindering economic progress.

8. It’s 97th. Bangladesh deserve much better position. But came 5 rank higher than Pakistan’s 102nd.

9. True internet speed is slow. It’s needs to be upgraded as quickly as possible. With mass adoption of 4G and introduction of 5G will improve it.

But despite all Bangladesh is achieving highest growth rate in the world is a reality and transforming itself and aiming to be a knowledge based economy.

well, none of us are claiming to be number one in everything...

but things like economy growing rate
lifespan and infant mortality
education and literacy rates etc
we are doing on par or better than the regional countries... which we do celebrate... but some of us here can't take it like a mature person

the asian tiger label didn't come from us... infact if i remember correctly... china/ singapore/ southkorea etc prides themselves as asia's tiger and the potential for bangladesh to become the next is a high one and is forcasted by international community... these are not claimed by us.

Too many people have had their egos crushed with the way BD is doing.

BD has a long way to go but it currently pretty much seems to be doing everything right as far as economy is concerned.
