Bangladesh’s example: Give secularism, tolerance a chance in Pakistan

^^---i have so many replies to the above statement, but i choose not to get in that debate. Pointless debate!

Oe hormone charged toddlers, is it so hard to avoid religious discussions?

. . .

Ok i have enough time now! Just came out of fcuking forensic viva board! tell me about your western philosophy which is 'best'!

Lol... I am again reminding you none has been said by me. This report has been made by citi bank. Regarding India ... Forget about 3 It is basically in one side. To connect to the other side it is begging for transit for 40+ years. If win win situation arise bd will provide transit to India. Apart from that will become the gateway between south and south east Asia. With current state of Pakistan it will take decades to come out of the sh!t. Then there is fear of splitting. N also would like to remind you size is not always a matter. The amount of influence Qatar has many big country does not have that. But at least bd has it's biggest asset 160 million homogenious people.

Best of luck for bangladesh. According to me they are in the correct path. Pakistan is far from it.

aazidane I think you are confusing 2 things.
There is no doubt that the west is much more advanced when it comes to technology and science.
And we must do everything in our power to learn from them and integrate this knowledge into our societies.

The west is, however, not more advanced when it comes to ideology or morality.
Consider this.
The greatest ideology that has come out of the west in our modern history has been socialism/communism.
While it has some ideas that are good, on the whole this ideology has failed.
Yet, our ideology, which is almost 1500 years old, is still thriving and still relevant to our modern society.

You say laws change by time, please tell me, which laws have changed.
Is murder legal now? how about rape or theft?
Laws only change when peoples morality changes.
And laws reflect that morality.
For Muslims, our Morality is firmly in Islam and thus our laws should reflect that.

i am more interested in capitalism than common laws. Interest is forbidden in Islam. Bangladesh wholly runs on the interest banking system. A country like iran or saudi can run eithout charging interest rates, but Bangladesh cannot, all our mega projects or small projects are due to bank loans which charge interest. I couldn't care less about murder, rape or theft.

An agent of Hindutva radicals like so called "Shahriar Kabir" knows nothing about Islam to even comment on it. Besides soaring inflation, massive corruption and inefficiency, uncontrollable levels of crime (murder, theft, forced disappearances, extortions, etc etc), regular power cuts/'load shedding', high unemployment, nepotism, irregularities, and infusion of backward Hindutva extremist terrorist ideology from the den of Brahminist terror, what exactly has so called 'secularism' achieved for Bangladesh?

Now if you consider any of these 'achievements' of BAL good for you, then you can adopt secularism but most Bangladeshis or sane people anywhere else usually tend to think of them as sufficient reasons to consider the source of all these 'achievements' as an 'illness' in itself. The Bangladeshi experience shows that 'secularism' is an 'illness'.

Don't forget that the so called West never really had any civilization to speak of, they were and still remain barbarians to the core, widespread nudity and such is widely acceptable in backward societies like India or the West, not elsewhere. Also, don't forgetthat the West only learned some science from the Muslim world when the Muslim public were more aware of and followed Islamic law to a greater extent.

The Bangladeshi experience, as I have outlined in my previous post, confirms that 'secularism' is an 'illness'.

You are only partly correct. Bangladesh is also far from the correct path. The correct path should already be clearly known to all Muslims as it was revealed approximately 1400 years ago. The perfect path is already known, it's the so called "Muslims'" failure in pursuing that path.

One of the major 'lackings' in Bangladeshi or Pakistani society for that matter is lack of innovation to improve in any sector of life. When Western-slaves talk about secularism, they think since the West invented 'secularism' to justify their nudist culture, all societies must adopt it. They can not provide a single reason why it should suit Bangladesh or any other society except what Western imbeciles preach. At the same time, so called religious people do not even know Islam well enough to understand what laws should be implemented. Islamic Shariah is indeed the perfect solution for governance, the problem lies with the people and their ignorance.
