Bangladesh rejects Pakistani envoy’s credentials nearly a year after appointment

I am happy to represent my country, but not when it lacks humanity and embroiled on racism.

Bangladeshis are a lot like Pakistanis, in many aspects. We have very similar cultural dynamics due to our history with Mughals, etc. We don't have to be part of the same country to be good friends, and even friends have issues at times.

I always consider Bangladeshis and Bangladesh as a friend and a natural ally of Pakistan.

I value my friends from BD and their loyalty and dedication to Islam. Many of them are better than Pakistanis in this regard. You have millions who come for tableegh and the largest gathering in the world for your ijtima.

Here is to a great and long friendship between both our countries. I hate to see India and Burma treat BD with such disrespect. Bangladeshis have hearts of gold and pure souls. Hate is not healthy nor natural for Bangali people.

To me, one Bangladeshi is worth more than the whole of India or Burma, honestly. May Allah swt bless your country and your people with victory upon victory.

They surrendered to Indian army. Neither India or Pakistan will ever see Bangladesh as their equal. You should know that by now.

Please think before you speak.
BD is predicted to be the fastest growing large economy in the world up to 2030.
As BD develops and gets wealthier the whole image of BD will change. Already many articles from all over the world are lauding BD's economic progress.

How does a Muslim state justify making prostitution legal?
1. Bangladesh isnt a Muslim state or an Islamic Republic.

2. Bangladesh is a People’s Republic.

3. Prostitution is legal because NOT all Bangladeshis are practicing Muslim. And, have sex outside of marriage!

4. Bangladesh is westernizing. Religions are becoming less important in Bangladesh.

Hope that answers your question...

FACTUALLY INCORRECT. Bangladeshis are in FACT very different to Pakistanis. Our history and culture are VERY different. bangladesh is over 2500 kms away from Pakistan. Historically we had MINIMAL contact with them. Only about 24 years MAX did we have any meaningful contact with them. Compare that with Iran and Afghanistan of whom we have had over 4,000 years of deep interations and intrigues with. bangladeshis and Pakistanis are TOO different, TOO far apart ro have any meaningful interactions with.

Hi. Glad to see your consistent at least.

In the US, and UK I presume, theres a colloquial term used called "desi".

And furthermore, youv'e heard of Indo-Pak groceries and restaurants right?

The point is, according to the common man, Pakistan has more to do with those on the Indian subcontinent than the Westward leaning, and revisional narrative i.e. Neo Indus nationalsim, that you and some of your countrymen seem to be doing right now.

But again, I applaud you for your consistency.

In the UK desi food and desi music refers more to Punjabi Bhangra music. I've never heard a Bengali refer to his food or some kind of music as desi food or desi music. It's would be weird to hear a Bangali refer to Asians/Bengalis as Desi.

Americans use the word DeSssszee a lot, sounds cringe imo lol.

I have been to Pakistan over 30 times. ANY Pakistani who lives in the Middle or Western Pakistan (over 50% of the population) knows next to NOTHING about "desi" or indian/bengali culture, foods etc. Culturally, linguistically and racially the are very different to benglais/indians.

I understand that. But Asian channels comprise entirely of Punjabi folk & pop music, its referred to as Desi music.
The Gol gappa has always been a mainly NI thing, it's the Bangladeshis who are always the stray cat, who feels left out from the subcontinent, we are mainly Rice eaters whom favour a sour and spicy pallette, just look at our cooking and eating habits. In fact our country being the most easternly nation in Indian subcontinent all this makes sense why we differ with the customs and habits the more you look to the west.

I've lived and breathed in "Indian restaurants", those dishes my friend you see on the menu are 100% alien to our liking or food. We're just good at pushing another brand/culture because it *was a cashcow.

You're also comparing what is essentially an ethnic region (Bengal, BD) to Pakistan which comprises of multitudes of cultures..

This does not check out with my personal experience socially with my Pakistani friends.

But you don't talk politics (especially Hasina related politics) when sharing plates/bowls of haleem or paya.

The womenfolk as I understand, have even MORE in common, although Pakistani society is a bit more religious oriented than ours.

Maybe you don't see this in your immediate social circle, but Pakistan means more than you or your friends.

I’m only talking about the Islamic aspect brother. No doubt we are different races.

We have more in common with Iran and Afghanistan. We practically look the same and speak similar languages.

Let’s not go into that abused word. Desi in Pakistan only means Pakistani.

Indian Americans have co-opted it to claim we are the same and undo our independence.

We have cultural similarities because we were both part of the same nation from ‘47 to ‘71 and shared commonalities because of Muslim/Mughal rule.

@PAKISTANFOREVER is correct too, and most Pakistanis would agree with him as well.

Our major commonality is that we are both Muslims.

Bangladesh can be & I've seen a lot of people raise the comparison a projection of the Bengal sultanate, it was a setting where Bengali was used informally and in some cases formally, everyone on a professional level was Bengali, most of the rulers were natives. Infact Bengal flourished at that period. The concept of a Bengali Muslim nation isn't something new and was always there, it was just unbeknownst to the general population.

Infact many of the dynasties and kingdoms of present day Bangladesh were native rulers, even take for example Murshid Quli Khan.

All corners of BD has strong concentration of Muslims around it, whether its Rakhine, Assam (Korimgonj, , etc etc. West Bengalsuch as the 24 parganas,Malda, Murshidabad. The swarms of illegal Bdeshis is not true however Bengal has always had a strong Muslim pop.

i want to believe You.

apparently 4 Muslims liked your post. i have a legal binding if 4 Pakistani Muslims do it.

you need 3 more.

Goodluck

I have been to Pakistan over 30 times and have travelled all over it. At least 40% of Pakistanis who reside in Central and Western Pakistan are racially identical to afghans and Iranians. They are completely alien to indian or "desi" culture. I have seen it first hand myself.

The experience with a few Pakistani expats can be very misleading.

It's not about believing. It's the path this region has been following for a while, Muslim rule in Bengal allowed all faiths to live harmoniously with equal rights and that's why I brought up the Bengal Sultanate example, because numerous non Muslims became Munshis etc.
