Turkey is actually very apt point on this...given the number of Pakistanis (including the one you are responding to I believe) that hold it up as role model for islamic state etc...

I believe Malaysia is another one that has no outright statute on prostitution being illegal (rather they go about it by targetting related activities)

However after this verdict , we had 5 years jamati brotherhood regime ( halal democracy, speak against it , you are malaun and Indian stooge; okay if this is the case then many Bangladeshis ( including me) are ready to accept this slur ( malaun aka cursed; yes for Bangladeshi jamati brotherhood even Muslims are malaun who support AL ) I am sure! ) , and no step taken by this fake islamic brotherhood govt ( 2001-2006).

So no one is blaming that jamati govt although they had the opportunity to stop it .Perhaps in that halal democratic regime, under halal woman leadership , maybe prostitution became halal too.

So basically what happened in AL regime all are by default to be trolled , and what other regime will be ignored, as other countries are ignored too. So you guess target is a specific govt who actually trying to make Bangladesh stand on its own feet!

I don't think I need to write further, I am already fed up because of such malicious and provocative attacks. I am unable to report every post and I also feel that it's no longer needed . It's better to stay away from keyboard in such cases, and exactly I am trying to do that.

Friendship ( both individual and regional) should be equal and also free from insulting remarks. Some peoples blame us, but you see who are actually responsible for such increasing distance .

Not really sure what to say about it.

I've realized this forum contains a spectrum of people.

Including mental midgets, racists, and over all bottom of the barrel types.

This is in addition to quality posters who acutally have something of substance to say.

I would LOVE to meet some of these folks in real life and see what they have to say then.

The argument really doesn't come down to whether its legal/illegal by law....but how does the society broadly function w.r.t the issue (I can give examples of where legislation is broadly ignored...or the opposite side of vigilantism/social attitude enforcing things despite the legislative status of the issue). Human experience is far wider and varied than the legislation that's on the docket (which serves only as a starting reference point, rather than grand conclusion).

More simply, if a case (in conclusion style) is made for legislation = inherent nature for BD....then the same should apply for Turkey. If distinction/exceptions is made, there is by definition an ulterior bias and hypocrisy....it does not even need to be argued.

BTW, thank you for the kind words, 2019 is fresh start year for me here hopefully. I just have lingering issue with 1 or 2 BD members (unrelated to their nationality)...but rest get my support/attack/argument just like any other would (on merit as much as possible...just mix in bit of banter where appropriate thats it).

I have learned to forgive the dissonance I see here on issues (given I have done the same more broadly in rest of the forum). I think it just struck me here longer than it did in other places, because of my close kinship with 2 Bangladeshis in real life (starting from college days)...so I expected too much of them over here etc. It was a wrong assumption on my part (I made similar such "put on pedestal by default" complex with few other non-BD members in this forum too)...not fully cognisant that online you only really get a small % of the broader person to begin with. I feel I have told you this before anyway.
