AgreedBad idea to increase prices in one go, I guess they didn't want to get torched over and over again
No. It is the removal of subsidies on fuel price. It is the right way to go.IMF effect, 1st stage : raise fuel price, check.
I discourage subsidy tooNo. It is the removal of subsidies on fuel price. It is the right way to go.
Except agriculture sector and food market everything else must be government subsidy free. Fuk socialism...

What will be the fare of public transportation now?No. It is the removal of subsidies on fuel price. It is the right way to go.

It's not realistic idea, specially in Bangladesh! Only common people will suffer because of such sudden price hike, specially for diesel!Absolutely!
Only bare necessities should be subsidised to protect the poor.
Keep rickshaws. Very environmentally friendly mode of travel outside big cities.
@UKBengali the great development specialist! I'm planing to change my name (in real life ) to "Development" !
If "Swapno, Padma , setu " can be name of new born babies why an 38 year old can't affidavit his name to "Development"?
Isn't it a patriotic idea? I hope you will appreciate my new name!
You and others can call me "Development" from now!
Government just removed some subsidies on fuel price. Government will not make money out of this fuel price hike. People have to understand and adjust. What will be the fare of public transportation now?
Motorcycle riders aren't rich so what's the point of making petrol 130 taka and octane 135 taka litre?
But what about public transportation? Diesel price shouldn't have increase such high!
If people pay extended fare ,will they start dieting? What's the income of average people in Dhaka? How much they will have to pay for transportation?
Forget about long distance journey where fare will be rised terribly but income won't!
Where internationally oil price is decreasing why increased in Bangladesh? What's the logic behind it?
I don't care for any government. All of them fight for power and money.Remember brother , before fall of Ershad , diesel price gone suddenly from 9 taka per liter to 18 taka!
And usage of cycling for short distance travel should be encouraged.
Everyone have to adjust.
Everyone have to adjust.
