I discourage subsidy too

Although the criticism i have about the govt is that they aren't filling the loopholes, such as oil refinery, pipeline, storage etc. These loopholes has the power to decrease the cost of oil by a lot. Which can help the people and also save forex...

What will be the fare of public transportation now?

Motorcycle riders aren't rich so what's the point of making petrol 130 taka and octane 135 taka litre?

But what about public transportation? Diesel price shouldn't have increase such high!

If people pay extended fare ,will they start dieting? What's the income of average people in Dhaka? How much they will have to pay for transportation?

Forget about long distance journey where fare will be rised terribly but income won't!

Where internationally oil price is decreasing why increased in Bangladesh? What's the logic behind it?

Remember brother , before fall of Ershad , diesel price gone suddenly from 9 taka per liter to 18 taka!

Only bare necessities should be subsidised to protect the poor.

It's not realistic idea, specially in Bangladesh! Only common people will suffer because of such sudden price hike, specially for diesel!

Many people need motorcycle for fatser ride. It's not rich men thing! So what's the point of creating such burden for people?


Now the govt proved that they don't care about common people!

People's income didn't increase one paisa from a year ,but price is getting sky high!

Government just removed some subsidies on fuel price. Government will not make money out of this fuel price hike. People have to understand and adjust.

BPC will still do massive losses even after this subsidy removal. And lets not even talk about our legendary inefficient management of fuel procurement, transport and distribution.

And usage of cycling for short distance travel should be encouraged.

আচ্ছা বুঝলাম। জাস্ট একটা কথা দয়া করে বলেন যে ঢাকার এই মরন জ্যামে আপনি সাইকেলে চড়ে কতক্ষনে অফিসে যাবেন? আমি ঢাকা থেকে অনেক দূরে থাকি।

মাঝে যেতে হয়। ঘন্টার পর ঘন্টা জ্যামে আটকে থেকে অসহায় বোধ করি, বিশেষ করে গরম কালে!

আমার হয়ত অভ্যাস নেই বলেই এমন হয়। স্থানীয়দের নিশ্চয়ই মজাই লাগে!

আমি তো সাইকেলেরই পক্ষপাতি! তবে বাকিরা কি, বিশেষ করে ঢাকায় সেটা চাইলেও সেভাবে চালু করতে পারবে?
