Bangladesh: No longer in India’s shadow

Iran has importance due to oil
It's not correct. Venezuela has largest reserve of oil, more than Saudi Arabia. Still they aren't important. And Venezuela isn't usa supporter you know, same as Iran.

Still Iran is doing very well , what is the position of Venezuela?
what importance does BD have ?
The importance of the bay of bengal that is the center of power of world now.

Even south China Sea wasn't as important as the bay of bengal during Trump , as without access of the bay of bengal China will be taken down on it's knee by a naval blockade in malacca strait.

But China has Myanmar, so that they actually have the direct access of the bay of bengal through Myanmar.

Still why Bangladesh is very important? Because firstly center of power was transferred to the bay of bengal and usa want to set a naval base , and can't set in Sri Lanka , as China is already there.

India is wetting their dhoti in dreams of becoming super power , hence they won't serve usa purpose but will back stub and clever usa know this very well.

On the other hand Bangladesh has no dream of becoming a super power; we can be influential but can never be super power and we also don't have this wet dream like India.

So Bangladesh is much safer option for usa to show her muscle in the bay of bengal.

That's why Bangladesh is very important.

If there is no China, the bay of bengal will no longer remain the center of power , then Bangladesh will lost all it's importance. Same as when soviet gone , Pakistan lost it's importance to usa.

So China and Bangladesh need each others, hence we can be strategic ally.

We have only few obstacles and that is we have to wipe Indian moles out or at least have to neutralise them.

And China will be our ally in this case too , because it's win win situation for both countries and their people.
Sanctioning BD will not backfire on America cause what will BD due ? BD ain't gonna do shit lol
Bangladesh doesn't have to do anything. It's simply harm the reputation of usa.

Bangladesh does not have the ability to assert foreign policy that allows it to fully escape Indian influence. So for all intents and purposes it will remain in that shadow.

More importantly - it seems like through a mixture of coercion and Chinese idiotic “wolf warrior” diplomacy it may have implictly moved towards the “Quad”.

Well what can one say?

No one likes to be cornered.

Whatever the QUAD was dangling may have been sweet enough...

China - 0 and QUAD -1.

@SpaceMan18, I am wondering if you would like to share your opinion regarding this remark of a sensible man like Mr Vladimir Putin, and also remarks of Chinese foreign ministry about his comment.

Putin's warning US may follow USSR gives food for thought — Chinese foreign ministry
WorldJune 07, 18:09
Chines Foreign Ministry spokesman emphasized that China had always been of the opinion that large countries must not attack, intimidate or discredit other countries or lecture them on what they should do
BEIJING, June 7. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin's warning there is a risk the United States may make mistakes typical for empires and follow in the Soviet Union's footsteps gives much food for thought, Chines Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said in a comment on the Russian leader's point of view expressed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"What President Putin said gives much food for thought. The modern world is living through fundamental changes, unprecedented over centuries. The way big countries act and their attitude to other countries will determine not only the rise and fall of these major powers but also the future of humanity," Wang said.
He stressed that China had always been of the opinion that large countries must not attack, intimidate or discredit other countries or lecture them on what they should do.
On June 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with the heads of the world's leading news agencies, organized by TASS on the sidelines of the SPIEF, said that in building its foreign policy relations, the United States relied on its political, economic and military might and was "steadily marching along the road of the Soviet Union." He said the United States had experienced all empires' typical problems — pretty certain about its might it creates problems that it will be unable to cope with, the way it happened to the Soviet Union.

Lmao comparing the Soviet Union to America is hilarious , America has people and talent from all around the world and has a bigger economy and support of it's allies which makes America OP. American beverage company Pepsi alone was able to cripple the Soviet Navy and the Russians expect to stand up to America that easily :sarcastic:

Although America is declining like all Empires , the second it's gone so is the world cause China in a heartbeat will become even a bigger bully let alone Russia

it's the soft power that is so critical
the chinease the Indians Egyptians turkish and the Japanese and Persians have great history and tradition

Pakistan shoots itself in the foot by not promoting it's indigenous pre-Islamic heritage in my opinion, such as the Indus Valley Civilization and also Gandhara.

I have noticed that out of all the Muslim countries, Pakistanis tend to be the most zealous in their activism whether it is related to Palestine or drawings of the Prophet Muhammad, maybe it is a desire to take on the role as the leader of the Islamic world?

actually Pakistan is the true successor of Indian civilization.

Since 90% of independent Indian history for the past 1000 years has been under Islamic rule (Mughals, Delhi Sultanate) and the Indus civilization arose in Pakistan, the true inheritor of the Indian subcontinent civilization is Pakistan.

"India" is a British invention that usurped the throne.

to be a leader you need to be successful.have respect and be financially and military stronger than those you lead.

you will never match the Arabs for economy or power or money actually the strongest Islamic nation by GDP is Indonesia

in military terms the turkish Egyptian and Saudi militarys are decades ahead of equipment and budgets.

so that leaves big population and nuclear weapons
well.north Korea has nukes gave them.zero voice
and Bangladesh has 140.million people zero clout.

I say again
GDP
forex.
soft power
then military 4th

then can you lead and be leader

look at the big powerful.states, they all have those 4 attributes

But are Putin and Chinese foreign ministry like Bangladeshi talkative politicians? If they are making remark like this openly, should it be taken so lightly like Obaidul Quader ?

Lol, you Gangus have great History?? The earliest civilization in the subcontinent started in modern Pakistan, even the name India comes from the word Indus.
Modern Pakistanis are the true descendants of the great Indus Valley Civilization followed up by Gandhara Civilization. Your food is nothing but vegetables and Salad, all of the famous dishes are of Pakistani origin which you sell as Indian food in foreign restaurants.
In 1947 Pakistan was the one that gained independence and created a new state, u guys are just leftovers of British rule. In short, your only history is being ruled by people of Indus, then Muslims, and then Britishers.

.
We should follow the way of Pakistan.
In fact, you guys can learn a lot from our blunders. The first blunder would be to dependent on any country for your defense needs, second would be to not have stronger ties with your neighboring countries. So far, Bangladesh has balanced her relationship with China and India and i hope you guys tread that path.
On Topic: If history is considered something, Benagalis cannot live in the shadow of anyone else. They always find a way to independence.

There are many different names for Indian polities, since India is just a geographic term.

It could be argued that through Mughal and Sultanate descent, Pakistanis are the true rightful rulers of all Hindustan. The British mistakenly put Hindus in charge of the main region of India which is ahistorical and hasn't been the case for 1000 years.

By such logic, India (the government) is the continuation of the British Raj, an illegal colonial government, while Pakistan is the successor of the Mughal Empire and the true inheritor of all Hindustan.

It generally was the Chinese the bungled up Bangladesh’s attempt at neutrality. Their heavy handedness and the new(and many times misplaced) assertiveness by Xi allowed the US to dangle the carrots(and Indian influence over Hasina and her cabal) and is pushing BD to the other side.

Nope, Pakistan, as an artificial country created in the name of religion needs a reason for internal cohesion.....and traditionally, that reason is "danger to Islam" from Hindus / Jews / Americans / France etc etc.....

It is the same for most of Pakistans existence......they lie to themselves about "danger to Islam".
