Bangladesh in uproar over Vijay Diwas tweets

He said Indian army fought for the motherland? Which motherland? Bangladesh? :what:

Perhaps unknown to you..1971 war was fought on two fronts.

In East, India went on an offensive and captured East Pakistan.

Where as in the west, the war was fought in defense of Indian motherland against Pakistani offensive.

1.We were among the earliest recipients of The Message. And through centuries of trial and tribulation we have nurtured our faith as received in original without influence of intervening cultures or without any deviation caused by passage of time. For instance there is no division by sect here although for documentary purpose we say we are Sunnis. BD sits in the center of a large and growing population - around 400 mlln. Unlike any other Muslim community in the world, we sit isolated surrounded by rising extremists in Hinduism and Buddhism. What is occurring now is a passing phase. Our people are firm believers. We shall prevail Insha Allah.
2. That photograph of the surrender ceremony has been photo-shaped to erase our rep Gp Capt Khandokar, Dy C in C.

Go cry to someone that cares.

For the time being sit in Canada and stare at your failure....like you have been doing for the last 50 years.

You lot are never going to prevail at anything. Each passing day you get put into war tribunals, get the noose and the rest of the halfwit supporters are spread and smashed.....and more of the same happens the next day. There will be a good amount of wiping out in the coming years along with the next election.....and you will not enjoy it at all. This phase will only pass when your Bangistan sort have been completely wiped out, like you planned to do to Bengali culture and people.

Who gave you authority that its Islamic flag? Islamic flag looks like this one below.
And it was established by tearing apart crescent and star flag.

Tell this why your Pak generals attacked on unarmed Bengalis because same faith wasnt all. Dark kala phisically inferior Bengalis were subject to discrimination to make them alien in their nation. Creating a havoc on Bengal made roads to exploit it to foreign hands. Such reckless attempt as our land is worthless.

Its not sun god, if yours one is not moon and star god. Blood and Greenery.

There are Bangladeshi in that pic but what you saw is cropped one.

The following picture is the Ottoman coat of the Hilafet - the symbol of Muslim unity. According to a Hadis-I-sheriff Muslims shouldn't die without knowing the name of his/her Halife. Star and crescent are nominated by the scholars of Islam. The coat or flag of the prophet (Peace be upon him) can't be exactly copied for the matter of Edeb (courtesy). We Turks even don't name ourselves Muhammad or Ahmad out of Edeb for if I have these names and people scold me it'll be a insult to our beloved Prophet (PBUH). Instead, we name ourselves Mehmet or Ahmet. Ottoman Sultans called themselves Servants of Haremain (Mekka and Medina), not the Rulers of Haremain for the Prophet was the Ruler of Haremain. They didn't even put their coats there out of respect for Prophet and Hilafe - I - Rashedin. Now, if you want to claim that you know better than them I have nothing to say. If you claim that Muslims dying for the defense and honor of Muslim lands for a thousand years against the Europeans Crusaders under these flags, which are not the symbol of Islam, I have no way to convince you. However, this much we, hopefully, all know - once the Hilafet was gone and all these states were born, the people in the Middle East haven't seen a single day of peace.

As for the events in 1971, indeed, these were all very tragic and unfortunate. When Muslims start fighting each other terrible things happen. Our history is full of such tragedies. Killing of innocent people by Pak military can't be overlooked. Muhajirs from India who settled in East Pakistan were also the victims of mass slaughter and rape, specially before the military crackdown and after the surrender. Pictures showed they were being baynotted to death. Perpetrators from both sides can't ask for sympathy. As a third party, we were very saddened at the break-up of a Muslim country and changing of the flag and changing of a national anthem full of such Islamic symbolisms. Moreover, the rhetorics from the Indian side made it very plane to us their ultimate motives, which, I believe, Bangladeshi people are feeling day in and day out. They started planning for the break-up since 1947. Nehru though it'll be all over within 10 years, but Mountbatten, having Imperial reflexes, gave 25 years. Anyway, it's no excuse if you give them opportunities.
As for that picture, as Muslims from Turkey, we can't resist ourselves from being extremely saddened. People standing there might be laughing but it reminded us of the Treaty of Sevre, where due to the blunder of a few coup loving generals, the last Hilafet was gone. InshAllah, it will rise again from the place it set.
Anyway, best wishes to both Pakistan and Bangladesh.

This unbeatable combination of Indian army and terrorists was not really unbeatable. You missed the geography factor of East Pakistan. It was the geography of East Pakistan that made things work for this combination. Without this geography factor Indian army would have gone back to barracks after a bloody war while MB terrorists would have been sent six feet deep in the ground. Indian establishment later tried too to team up with other all kinds of terrorists in Pakistan but all of them were beaten by Pakistan and its military sooner or later.

As I said. B@stards got lucky. BLA, TTP and others are not that lucky.

It can work just as easily in other parts of the world.

India fought for Bangladesh liberation and shed blood for it. We know it very well and we are very grateful for India's help during our crisis but when India hardly gives credit to the Mukti Bahini for winning against oppressor Pakistan army it hurts Bangladeshis.

i'm glad to know about your awareness as a Turk about the 1971 tragedy and showing your support to Bangladesh and Pakistan as a fellow Muslim. i fully agree with your assessment. in 1971, the majority of East Pakistanis could not even dream that India will invade them and change their very national identity. but they lived in a lot of fear as India and its agents had immense control on the ground around that time much before March 1971. that was a very important reason why United Pakistan military government launched Operation Searchlight. the political environment in Bangladesh is still controlled heavily by India and its proxy ruling system. that is why you see elements like bongbang.

in 1971, not just Muhajirs but all East Pakistani Bengalis who were against Indian invasion were heavily persecuted. current Indian proxy government in Bangladesh is still murdering opposition politicians who used to be politically opposed to Indian operation back in 1971.

It was a indo-pak war that india won and muslims lost. BJP is stating facts on the face of gullible bangladeshis whose mind is stuck on a indo-awami created bubble.
nailed it!

I think most of the Indians don't know anything about how bravely Bangladeshis fought for liberation. You glorify your soldiers but never gave tiniest credit to the freedom fighters of Bangladesh. I agree 100% that it was also Indo-Pak war but the main war was fought between West Pakistan and East Pakistan (Bangladesh). Just give credit to Bangladeshis while celebrating Vijay Diwas. Nobody will have problem with it. Just say Pakistan surrendered to Indian and Bangladeshi joint forces.
So paying respects to the Indian soldiers who died fighting for Bangladesh liberation in India causing uproar in BD?
You are free to pay respect to your soldiers...?
No?
Or you are saying we should pay respect to your soldiers too for fighting for 'your' country?
