What's new

Bangladesh GDP 286 billion USD, Per capita 1,733 USD in 2018.

Key word being deterrence. It deters other countries from even engaging in any more than a skirmish exchange in border or something. We need nukes for deterrence against Myanmar and specially India since they already posses nukes. I am not asking for war, I want BD to have nukes to make India think hard before even considers to fight BD.

Also the fact that we are 160M+ country and 8th most populous. We shouldn't leave this many people defenceless against countries that posses nukes where the fight would totally be one sided since for the attacking country, at worst only BD's 165 M will get obliterated while they live to see another day. BD already have incentive not to fight but with nukes, it will give incentives for India not to engage with BD too.

Yes. Exactly. I want BD to absolutely stay away from any war but if any country considers fight with BD, BD should have the ability to wipe them off, if it's existence is in danger. It's deterrence to keep other countries to follow what BD follows, which is BD has no interest in fighting and so shouldn't you. As I said before, 160+ million people shouldn't be defenceless against nuke possessing countries.
Be reasonable, you're smarter than this. BD and India relations are generally content and cordial, even under the BNP I still wouldn't say we're complete enemies. Burma is more of threat, but even then they're not an enemy yet. And they're too impoverished to develop nukes of their own. And so are we. India's nukes are all pointed at Pakistan and vice versa. We shouldn't have to worry about them pointing it at us.

India-Bangladesh all out war would remain a fantasy for the forseable future. Some sort of border skirmish can not be ruled out although (but managable). As for Burma, one suardon of deep strike fighter like; Dassault Rafale, is and would remain enough of a Deterrence for a good while as it would have the capability to wipe out Burma's entire defense network and stategically important assets. Going Nuclear would require huge financial invest among others and developing an effective payload delivery system is more complex then developing the warhead itself.
