Naval logistical operations have its limits, and it can also add more costs to outbound and inbound goods.
Transport by road is the most efficient and effective outbound logistical operation given that the infrastructure is good. Transit through Bangladesh is the shortest distance to NE India.
So yes, of-course it is a very feasible solution from the Indian perspective. Especially since NE India historically had some problems, and China apparently has some claims. That is why your leaders take so much interest in the matter. Otherwise, the matter wouldn't be put forward in the first place!
How is the transit supposed to appease Bangladeshi sentiments alone? Nothing has been finalized yet.

Myanmar is building a road to India and so Yangon would be the port of call if BD is not.

I have said before that the the transit is feasible for Bangladesh from an economic perspective. Given that everything is in order, and that the fees cover the costs incurred within Bangladesh.
As far as the security perspective goes, I am not at all clear about this. I am in no way interested in seeing foreign troops passing through Bangladeshi territory or airspace for whatever reasons!

Bangladesh biggest problem is Population. One of the highest population density. Also add Global warming by which many parts of BD will be under water. These 2 are facts and will create huge problem. I never see any BD poster talking about these 2 biggest issue. They talk what is not important and crap article like this.
