I think in a fair election a new third party has a good chance but they have to clearly demonstrate why they are different, whether by performance and plan or by a balanced and tolerant ideology.

Problem is lack of fair election. Heck with fair election, BNP wins easily in current environment because of sheer anti-incumbency.

Then that video sharing is coincidence. I got that on youtube feed. However, I wont mind sharing any BKELLA video if I think I can challenge you with that as reference. And you should acknowledge that the minister in the video is bullshitting. The video worth sharing again.
Well this type of vids and the talk show type vids used to be posted by Banglar Bir...
And you should acknowledge that the minister in the video is bullshitting.
They always bullshit....nothing new.
I am sure most of you will do the same about being silent and vocal is different situation (I mean if power changes). It is also tasteless to use the so-called development (in most of the cases, it is by private sectors and a normal course of development) as shield and tag others as anti-bd.
Nah...I criticize Awami league as well......my fav BD govt has been 2 years of Fakhruddin....@centaur

Btw how do you compare awami leagues current term from 2009 to BNP's 2001-6? Which one would be better? I support Awami League because the other option is BNP.....which has proven to be worse than Awami League.
By the way, do you feel that BNP is mainly responsible for economic development by not giving Hartal?
Awami League rendered Hartal useless.....They forced everything to be kept open during hartals.....thus BNP's hartals had minimal affect.....Awami leagues political strategies outweighs BNP's en every aspect.

And if BNP can think and work like that ( as Skies suggested) , then they are very welcome to end BAL rule.
Sadly they won't.
After all BAKSHAL was much worse than previous BNP regime, so if BAKSHALis can came to power after 21 years and can do better for BD , then surely BNP will do it in 2024 election if they win.
That's why I say Hasina is much better than Mujib as an administrator.
Who will be leading BNP? Khaleda in Jail. Tareque hiding in London...
Are you too desperate @Mage to show BAL as angelic flawless party?
Do I show them as such? I blamed them for screwing the banks and then screwing the share market in their previous term.....their biggests fault imo. I always say that they are better than BNP....because I remember BNP's 2001-6 term and BAL's 2008-13 term.
I am surprised what make you compare his points with those posts?
I was just saying that posting those type of vids and posting copied facebook posts are something Banglar Bir used to do.
Specially with the anti BD troll posts of idune?
I didn't say he was filling in for idune....although we need someone to post the negatives about BD as well...which used to be idune's thing....

Bangladeshi vote here now stand-
Awami League-12
BNP-5
Others-1
That too in a Pakistani forum...where Hasina an her party is hated..

If I tell good thing about BAL, then I would say BAL is better than BNP for executing vision based developments.

BNP is not competent enough to change the fate of this country, although Zia ul Rahama was visionary and had plans, but but but ... I think this time if BNP elected they will outperform BAL unless their stupidity is inborn.

And about comparing BNP's tenure vs BAL's tenure, it is like apple vs orange. Because, people are more knowledgeable now because of increase in access to internet. So, BAL had come with better plan and vision accordingly. Although I think BNP might not have been able to do that too if it was elected - I mean being innovative for people who are smarter today. BNP was not smart enough to cope up with the change in peoples' knowledge and awareness.

I hate BAL from my core for it's ideology+lies+India policy (but I am tolerant/liberal) and I support BNP for its ideology. To me ideology is still important.

One of those founder leaders ( founded BNP alongside zia ur Rahaman) can be good choice for BNP to end family dynastic politics.
They are much worthy than idiot Tareq rahman.

I care about performance....and in this regard, AL beats BNP hands down.

They have to choose new leader anyway, imo. Now let's wait for the future.well if Tareq learn a lesson then he can lead, maybe no big deal .

Ok thanks brother I saw it now :).

You need to be a senior member, son...
No boy , as a junior member I have already seen it by following the screen shots of @Skies.
:D
I wasn't following correct method before. So now calling on BAL and bnp and others vote casting I see it. However it's a tragedy that only I voted for 3rd party and rest of BD folks belong to these to holy families.

Others are not gonna get votes unless you can specify who those others are. People prefer certainty over ambiguity.

There are only 3 options there . Well my vote is for "nagorik oikko" if they can compete for all seats .

What the hell is this party nagorik oikko

Better go for Ashol BNP......

Man, I could get behind BNP if it had Saifur Rahman or Jamiruddin Sarkar as the party chairperson....or pm candidate.

.
BAL voters = 33% (Secular Bengali Chetona followers)
BNP voters = 33% (Modern and slightly religion-inclined-nationalism followers)
Floating voters = 33% (?)

BNP+BAL votes will be more than 80%.
Third party isnt possible as those are not so floating. These votes are too much divided. Japa+JeI will be more than 10%. Other Islamists will have 2%. Regional/Individuals like Gamcha, NAP, LDP, T BNP, BJP, CPB, Socialists, Jasod, JSS, UPDF etc parties will have around 5%. More than Half of the above mentioned floating votes are gone. I see in coming election most of the above mentioned divided votes are making alliance with AL in a farce election if BNP dont take part. And get the seats distributed among them proportionately .
