The tendency to tolerate the intolerant views has grown in recent past. Present Bangladesh is a lot different from 90s Bangladesh from a cultural point of view.


Even when I go outside, I see a lot of females with burqas or hijabs which was extremely uncommon even 20 years back from now. Not saying it's a bad thing. But it's quite evident that our Bangladeshi culture is gradually being replaced by something very different. It's not surprising though. In a country where 85% of ppl r Muslims these things r bound to happen.

Exactly what aspects of Islam were rejected in the formation of Bangladesh?

And as for Bangladesh and Islam being contradictory. That's a stupid statement.

I can only really speak for Bengali Americans. We are some of the most well adjusted practicing muslims. And our families came to the US from Bangladesh during and immediately after the era of the '71 war.

This implies that some people are intolerant of those thy hate, they persecute them by saying that their victims are 'intolerant'. People with secular mindset are the most corrupt, ruthless and intolerant people in BD.
