Since when is not believing in the quran and heaven a crime? A lot of people does not believe in the stuff i believe, doesnt mean i gather up a posse against them. Seems like an abuse of the law that was meant to keep social harmony.

A teacher in his class needs to be responsible. Kids learn from their teachers. Quite Normal for the guardians react that way. They didn't send their children to the school so that someone can turn them into atheists.

It's not about whether you believe in it or not, fact of the matter is faith was insulted. Lucky this sort of stuff never happens in my village, there would definitely be some unwanted aggro.

These kids are 17 or 18 years old. Old enough to vote, marry and be charged in the court as an adult. You should be able to discuss religion, politics or any other topics with them.

It is normal for parents to send letters demanding he stop discussing other topics or go to the district admin to take action against the teacher. Its not normal for parents of a civilized society to bring out a mob armed sticks and attack teachers cause of different opinions.

How is that insulting? I believe in something different and i explain to you why i believe it and not the others. It is an opinion not an insult.
To me an insult should be limited to offensive remarks of religious figures, thats it.

I don't want other to blindly respect me.If I have any wrong with me or they suppose, should be able to point out that.Same for any religion or ideology.

No ideology or religion should be above criticism or debate.This world has seen hundreds of millions of murder because some group decided that,their religion or ideology is the absolute truth and anybody who criticize it deserves death.Whether it is islam, medieval christianity,communism or nazism.

there is difference between a teacher preaching atheism and answering a question honestly to best of his knowledge.
If he was preaching atheism(not correct for teacher to do), he should probably lose job but not be jailed.

If he was preaching atheism(not correct for teacher to do), he should probably lose job but not be jailed.

Why he should loose his job? Is atheism is a crime? Believe in God or not believing is totally personal thing.If religionist have the right to preach the existence of God, than an atheist should also have right to preach non existence of God.Otherwise you can't claim it to be a fair society where powerful majority silence the minority.
