Bangladesh-China high-speed rail link proposed

GOOD LUCK WITH THAT.:sick::rofl:

That can happen you know unlike Sino-Japanese & Indo-Pak hostility sino-indian confrontations have no emotional baggage with then

India doesn't even have high speed rail in it's own country, let alone building it on foreign lands. India must embrace these plans and not block them. Trade and connectivity is the future. India will surely catch up quite soon. Let's hope they don't block these things just because it's not them who build it. Heck, India should let China build high speed rail lines from China into India. Join each other at the hip. That'll force solutions to border disputes and boost growth significantly. And also cut outside negative influence.

The sucker you are quoting (Rising shining) is not a american but a butthurt false flag troll

Port city in Sri Lanka is a submarine base? Lotis tower is a Chinese listening station? That's how.

The standards of road in India is very low. Even the dirt road in countryside is considered as a road according to India.

It not just India to be honest, even though i recognize/admit India is very paranoid about everything Chinese(which is normal since China is far bigger/more powerful).Ban on ZPMC cranes to hurt Indian ports - Livemint

However, Pakistan is even more paranoid about India as well. lol They don't even want to trade with India and vice versa.lol Reason S.Asia will keep lagging behind for a longgggg time to come, as the two biggest/influential countries in the region are paranoid/at loggerheads with each other for a long time now.

lool Unlike Sino-Japanese confrontation?? lol Bro Japan and China aren't paranoid about doing business with each other AT ALL. They each welcome investments from each other without any restrictions for a longggggg time now. Just loom at their trade/investment figures you will be shocked. They only indulge in verbal political rhetoric sometimes when their maritime dispute tensions flare up. In short they have learn to differentiate between business and politics like mature/big powers ought to do. S.Asia hasn't learned that yet.:disagree:

However i agree that there is less emotional baggage between India and China than between China and Japan, but its mostly one sided, since the Chinese(i have been there few times myself) don't really talk much/care about India that much at all, they are more focus on their eternal rival/enemy Japan for obvious historical reasons. India on the other hand still focus on China more mainly because its weaker and was defeated in the only full scale war it fought with the Chinese, so there is still this bitter pill India hasn't got over with. However i think if the border dispute is settled then things will change for the better.

Indeed Sino-Indian relationship does not contain any emotional baggage at all & once the border dispute gets solved sky is the limit Although I don't agree about your lady point of was a border war & not a full scale war

If China wants to connect with BD then Myanmar has no choice in the matter. Got it?

But that's not true you see. We are building a deep water port at Kyaukphyu and connecting with BD would totally negate its advantage. You will never get connectivity with China. :cheesy:

Bangladesh is a nation of 156 million people. It's a destination for exports don't you think? At least in the future. It's not ann Indian protectorate or province. Why shouldn't China be able to build rail there? It's not as if they're going to invade a nation of 156 million people. Sure I understand India sees it as it's backyard, but you can't stop economic integration and trade, merely postpone it.

Because there's nothing in it for us. It won't happen.

Err.

China will become the uncontested power in the Asian mainland by 2025 and a peer to the US by then as well.

I am not trying to insult you but please try to analyse the above sentence and then you will see why Myanmar will soon have to follow the dictates of a superpower that it shares a land border with.

Didnt you say Bangaldesh will have retaken Arakan by 2025? Maybe you won't need our consent.

I think you need to learn how geopolitics work, son.

China? Uncontested power? Where? Inside China? Of course! But not outside their border.

"high-speed railway link between Kunming and Kolkata"

I think it is you that needs to learn geopolitics here.

Not only will you upset BD, but both India and China will be really annoyed with your tiny impoverished nation if you
do not allow rail access through your territory.,

Anyway, like I have always said, if Myanmar does not play ball then I expect a fully militarised BD to take over Rakhine state by 2025-2030 time-frame. I am sure that China would also grab some portions of Myanmar to make a contiguous land-border with the newly enlarged BD and so who would care what Myanmar said anymore?!

 I guarantee you nothing you have said here will ever happen. We are not going connect you with China. China won't care that we won't.

BDs are more likely to pay people smugglers to get on some death trap boat to Malaysia than be victorious conquerors of anything. Still, be happy. You're one of the lucky ones who got out.

In all seriousness, this is a good advertisement for Kyaukphyu. Indian ships can dock at Kyaukphyu and goods can be carried on rail to China. Maybe if they're lucky, BD ships can dock there too.

This would totally negate the need to pass through Malacca.

You know what is delusional is a unknown like you on this forum trying to think anyone cares what you think.

Everybody is "Unknown" in an online forum....but some people are delusional enough to make such comments like Bangladesh will militarily annex Myanmar territory by 2025-30! :)

Lol as if BD would have any interest in using this port.

BD will use its larger economic and military size to bring Myanmar to heel in due course.

Please keep dreaming that Myanmar will be anything more than a scared little bullied country by bigger
powers in the neighbourhood.

That won't happen either as we will unlikely allow connectivity through BD. A direct line between China and India is not going to happen.
