@I S I @kobiraaz bhai is correct....also private organizations(mainly financial organizations) can pay the government for extra security where they send Ansars to guard the premises....and I think a part of their budget comes from the Home ministry(not part of the defence budget) since a lot of the time they spend assisting the police.

If they are volunteers, they have regular day time jobs right?

It kind of reminds me of paramilitary reservists. They have their own livelihoods that engage most of their time, but are part of a defense militia....weapons and ammo provided by a collective of some sort (govt etc).

Nah man... their daytime duty is the job at ansar... they serve as security guards to commercial buildings etc. I don't think they are volunteers... ain't nobody that jobless in Bangladesh. They need money they need food.
