Fat intake also depends a lot on what type of fat is being consumed (saturated or unsaturated).
You don't say people live longer because they consume less fat.
Developed countries consume way more fat than Indians and live longer too. The devil is in the details.
Less fat + less protein means you use more carbs in your diet. In your case it is rice....which can actually be quite unhealthy for diabetes, cholesterol and heart problems.
