They weren't your "just Jawans". They were meant to be a special unit tasked to enter Bangladesh and destroy BDR weapons storage and then send signals to India to make a move into Bangladesh. Villagers spotted them in a speeding boat and informed BDR. Then a small unit along with villagers armed with sticks surrounded them and then attacked them, thus killing them in the process.
Whatt d bull!!! They were no 'special unit', they were not even military, border guards don't invade countries, military does, and Bangladesh won't survive half a day if its big brother really decides to invade it, ever!
That BSF patrol party was caught by the villagers alone as they made the grave mistake of not shooting at the civilians when attacked, and got murdered in cold blood later by the Bangladeshi security forces in a disgraceful act. Bangladesh was spared because of our favourable relations and Sheikh Hasina.
