What's new

Bangladesh Air Force will buy 23 more K-8W trainers for dedicated acrobatic team

What is going on???? what about MRCA deal? which aircraft we are going to buy from last tender, till now nothing fixed.really lol like Pungash fish.

Ok but why do we need such large acrobatic team with 23 aircrafts?

PLAAF has 8
PAF has 9
VVS has 8
TUAF has 12
IAF has 20

We will use it as training and light attack aircraft too. Not just for showoffs.

OMG Myanmar doomed . think when K-8 fling over Yangon bombing each run 5 tons of ammo over city

7 of them will be for replacing our old L-39 IJTs. Rest of the 16 K-8s will go to a new squadron. And highest 5-6 of these 16 planes will be used to perform aerobatics display unit. Though i don't like this idea of opening aerobatics team either. Even hate this aircraft too. Why can't BAF buy more trainers from Europe like L-39 or any other aircraft if they really gonna operate all Russian fighters in future.

What are you saying I have no idea! Do you want to say that BAF doesn't have pilots to fly combat air craft?
Your remarks are enigmatic . Can you explain your position please ?
Can one pilot fly three planes at the same time? It is childish to assume they can. BAF needs more pilots to fly and more air bases to house the new planes. it is very simple. This is why the BAF is after training planes. BAF top guys are not after putting the cart before the horses, some arm chaired PDF guys are eager to do so, though!!

wasn't there some rumors that BAF personnel were dissatisfied with he performance of K8W, why would they purchase them in larger numbers then?

yo whats with the hate

K-8 is a great plane - http://www.pac.org.pk/k-8

Its built in Pakistan as well
K-8 is great or not, our expert posters want BAF to buy f-35 grade of plane to enhance their prestige while the country goes broke.

:omghaha::omghaha:

Awami league plan to tie up defense budget for pom pom and leaving "airforce" as stunt show is more evident now. Yak and now K8, "Bangladesh airforce" is now a truly trainer force and laughing matter.
@idune, how long you will be hating BD and BAF?

Bangladesh don't need fighters anymore, India has your security covered. You can get aerobatics to sit and look pretty and drink Matas milk.

I hope this news turn false.Otherwise BAF will lost last remaining respect.

Actually I hope this news is true. BAF will grow to 160 4+/5 gen fighters by 2030 and so around 100 trainers are required.
Most of the fault for the condition of BAF
lies with BNP who stopped the completion of
AL order for 16+16 Mig-29s.
Like you already mentioned BAF only placed a tender for combat jets last year. We shall see orders this year or next and when it comes it would negate MAF superiority in one go. Afterall
bulk of their fleet will be made up of Mig-29 and JF-17. Even Mig-35 can shoot both down with ease.
23 K-8s would cost around 200 million dollars
- you can get 3 SU-30SME for that price. These
trainers are hardly costing BD that much money.

Not at all.
But the real problem is some shushils are in PDF and also Hollywood film war experts.
So it's hard for peoples to rely on such information , specially when such posters claimed in another thread that, other than rifles bangladesh army equipments are just junk .
Such remarks used to came from shushils of bangladesh who loved to degrade bangladesh armed forces.
Even some poets want army March with flowers .

PS: however if those remarks are authentic , at least they should make something clear when discussing in a public forum . Otherwise confusion is not unnatural !
