Bangladesh – a tale of two women

I have a very low opinion of the two groups of people- one who politically define themselves as Anti-India and the other who accuse people of being Anti-independence. These two groups are manipulating the minds of young people by diverting their attention from our outstanding problems to issues of no significance. Our post 71 intellectual bankruptcy can be attributed to this game of stereotyping. These to reactive concepts are each like a labyrinth, once you are entrapped there is a very slim chance to find the way out. They consume your strength and creativity in the process of a fruitless journey of fighting a fictitious demon.

And BNP rigged Magura election which made all the opposition parties to demand for CT system.

@ Why this "Tota pakhi is shouting" and trying to defend shameless Awami Leaque.

@ Look, he is still in Magura election, that too only in one constituency, what a height !!!!!

@ So far I know even the first Care Taker Govt of 1996 was also not totally free and fare. During that election the members of "Junotar Muncho" played a key role in manipulating the election result. In the general election of 1991 Army played a vital role where each army officer had a magistracy power that is, he had a power to arrest, disburse the mob and finally can himself decide to order for fire if neccessary. But unfortunately in the general election of 1996 just before 72 hours before the election, the Chief Adviser announed that no military personnels were allowed to enter inside the "polling both" without the written order from the presiding officer. Soon, known members of "Jonutar Munchoo" was appointed as the head of the electoral disputes consisting of three districts. In this way in more than 60 to 80 constituencies Awami Leaque carried out silent electoral manipulation.

@ Again during the election of 2008, it was a total farse. Army helped (Moin) AL so that their skin is saved but after the election it was seen that AL got so much of votes that they themselve were surprized !!!!!!!!

Or in other words: Cheap propaganda ;)

What I find truly strange is that East Pakistanis (at that time) had far better political acumen then West Pakistan. But BD's political trajectory after separation from Pakistan has not been as good as it should have been. For example Sheikh Mujeeb declared emergency soon after being elected (1974 in aftermath of famine). BD today is divided in two parties, both being run by women who are not bright and lack any long term vision (where will BD be in 5 or 10 years). Both of them are silent on the direction BD should take be it economic, social or military position). Why time after time only two parties are being elected? why no new alternatives in system?

Same is true for Sindh, on a collective level Sindhis are far more politically sharp and active then Punjabis or Pakhtoons but have been unable to achieve as much as they should. They too are completely swept by PPP which has been in Govt three times doing absolutely nothing for Sindh. There is no development on social or economic activity in Sindh, no major change in infrastructure. For all their political acumen Sindhis are also stuck with a single party knowing well that party has done nothing to merit such a following.

Then you should not had rigged the Magura election in the first place. Why were you that dumb which brought CT government.
Same happened 2006 you extended justice tenure to put your own guy as head of CTG and appointed a Joker Aziz as EC commissioner which brought another CTG and kick your fcking a$$ so bad that you still screaming. Why are you so stupid again and doing the same thing again and again???

there was a time India did not matter.... but frankly if you are going to play anti India card to win elections then it will surely backfire. Globalization is the way forward for your future and India is stepping up to the plate with new reforms. If they(BNP) are smart, then they would pick some specific issues like transit or BSF to be anti-India. That too only if they want to look different from BAL Party. My only worry is if BNP comes to power they may go back to their old ways and revoke all the good work that was done by BAL.

In fact 'pro/anti-India' issue was never a deciding factor in BD elections. None of bnp/bal ever won two consecutive elections. People always voted to get rid of the misrule of one ruling party with a little hope that the other one may not perform as bad this time.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party = corrupt

Awami League = criminal

Tough choice....

Khaleda zia and BNP is the way forward, Bangladesh Zindabad!

Bangladesh Nationalist Party = corrupt

Awami League = criminal

Tough choice....

Jamat neither corrupt nor criminal though they are Islamist.

So either go with less evil BNP led alliance(Jamat) or give Jamat a try if you are not in to bear and gambling, if you get my drift.

I think right now getting rid of Awami dalals/murtid/munafiq should be main priority for all Bangladeshis because Awami will turn Bd into Somalia with upcoming civil war. You know what I'm taking about. Don't you. Jamat will not vanish in dark night just because Awami and leftist wet dream.

There is enormous quantitative and qualitative difference between corruption political parties involved.

1) Awami League looted stock market with hundred of thousands of crore taka two times (1996, 2010) which BNP never did.

2) Awami Legue looted more than 4000 crore take from banks which BNP never did.

3) Awami League looting 1/3 of tax reveue as rental power plant subsidy which BNP never did.

4) Awami League big wig looted thousands of crore taka though Destiny which BNP did not do.

5) Awami League corruption on Padma bridege already cost Bangladesh $2.5 billion revenue loss, BNP never hurt national economy that way.

These are just some of big ticket corruption and wholesale looting Awami League done that no one in history of Bangladesh ever done. So when you say Awami League is criminal and not corrupt and try to equate BNP and Awami League in some way, that is blatant lie and questions your credibility.

As I said, they are criminal; and that can go a long way in many :D

@ This two group of people having a complete different idealogy will remain in Bangladesh till the last like a railway line which never never joins together=========================================================================

Khaleda zia and BNP is the way forward, Bangladesh Zindabad!

Khalida Zia and BNP is now pro India. Pro India means they want friendly relationship with India. And they regret there alliance with jammat in past. Bangladesh Politics Zindabad

@ Don't make fun with the politics of Bangladesh. Remember, in 1946 the same lot of people about 97% had voted for a separate united Pakistan and the same people fought with the Pakistani troops for greater autonomy and finally brought independence.

@ Donnot go with the idea that with the creation of Bangladesh or break up from Pakistan the famous, "Two Nation Theory" is dead it is rather more strong and it has become "Three Nation Theory".

@ So what ? Muslim Leaque and Jammat-e-Islami opposed the Liberation War, does it mean that it will remain for eternal period ? See, the politics of Indo-Subcontinent, Nehru colloborated with the British whereas Subas Chandra Bos revolted against British and formed "Azad Hind Fouz" both are patriot.
