The row over beef eating and cattle trade has sparked a nationwide controversy and protests have been held in several states, including Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has described the ban as undemocratic and unconstitutional and said her government will not accept it.

On May 30, the Madras high court had stayed for four weeks the enforcement of the contentious notification banning sale and purchase of cattle at animal markets for slaughter.

The order had come on a petition challenging the bar as inimical to personal liberty, peoples rights to livelihood and an encroachment into matters that are within the domain of the states.

Need of the hour.

These meat and leather industries are the worst polluters of water bodies all over India.
Since most of them are owned by muslims, asking them to follow the norms of pollution is next to impossible.

This is a blessing if these industries go extinct and ones that follow the prescribed environmental norms come into existence.

Contrary to lies peddled by left liberates, 99.999% Hindus of India don't eat beef, either cow or Buffalo. Around 70% Hindus don't eat Pork either, an interesting fact.
Most Hindus prefer Chicken, Fish and goat/lamb in no particular order.
Even Kerala, the supposed beef capital of India, consumption of beef is pretty less, percentage is in 20's. This is eye opening considering it has 45% Muslim + Christian population.

We have had jersy cows for a long time, which are looked after very well. The snide remarks you made if returned in kind would result in another innocent car ploughing through people. So, I will spare the cars and people and refrain.

Here, the river is the leg. India is already facing acute water shortage. The need of yesterday was to clean our rivers. We can live with less money in our pockets but I am not sure how one can live without water!

Oh brilliant mind. How about creating the infrastructure for Industrial sewage treatment and creating and enforcing the laws on those industries to maintain international norms in waste management ?

Rivers are getting polluted because our awesome corrupt system is allowing sewage and waste directly in to the rivers without any treatment.

LMAO, UP govt just did that by following the SC ordered green norms in banning illegal slaughter houses and we all saw the reaction.

The govt can be held responsible for individual people using corruption as an excuse to destroy the water sources to earn money.
The correction has to start somewhere and with someone. Glad that BJP is doing it.
