I live in quetta cantt area and it feels like am living in Switzerland and when I'm out of cantt , I feel like I'm in Afghanistan . .
Afghanistan and Switzerland both are very close neighbours in quetta .

Quetta cantt is very beautiful indeed.Aziz bhatti road where Canttonment hospital is located and Army Stadium is also nearby and CoreCommander House + GOLF Course Chiltan Market + Bolan Market and the surrounding areas Out side of cantt, Hazara area is ignored...Jinnah Road used to look better but don't know what has changed in last 8,9 years Café China Quetta Cantt i heard that new housing societies have popped up on air-port road and some new shopping centers, Plazzas...

Army Cantt are like that everywhere because same is the case with in Kharian cantt. That what make civilians pay many times more to buy home in cantt. You can't make whole city in to cantt, that's not how it works. Maybe if Pakistan was first world country....

And I guess prices of homes in Quetta cantt will be many times higher then other parts of city because of security.

Yes . Very higher than other areas .
The civilians also have to give tax annually for residing here . It's one lakh 20 thousand for most of residents .

At least army are sincere with their duty, they do spend the tax and money for development , other MNAS or naazims are hardly doing work for their areas.
Quetta is a small , cool, beautiful city , how nice it would be if army could control whole city . It's a sensitive city , needs the security of high level like provided to military area .

Yes its a cool beautiful area .
We've got more beautiful places . Garrison mosque , cinemas , moosa stadium , markhors , Bolan pass , hazar ganji park , hannah jheel , jabal e noor mountain are also the dignity of this city . But most of these beautiful places are located in quetta cantonment . Thus , the average citizen cannot fully enjoy these as they're not allowed to enter cantt .
We also have koh e murdar mountain that has many horror stories attached . .
With time the population has increased and due to this the areas near airport are populated and has originated few societies .

After 9/11 , quetta has really became Afghanistan.
I wish afghan refugees wouldn't have come to this city , they destroyed all beauty , most of quetta is full of them . They're dominating class and has ruined it like they ruined afghanistan.

Café China Quetta Cantt

Sarena hotel quetta is also a remarkable and a unique hotel.
I'm currently infront of heater as the winter has started .
Visiting hannah lake and café china in winter is so memorable as snow covers all things .

i agree that even bugtis are happy at his death. they curse him for keeping them in dark. they were not even allowed to know about their religion islam. now after his death and increase in awareness and education his people curse him.

if you look at Quetta Cantt its very big in area & yes after 2006 security has increased...is there alternative route to go to Hannah jheel ?? 8,9 years ago there was only one route i.e to go through Cantt...

Sending these refugees back and closing boarders with Afghanistan is must as it's always been dangerous for us . Most of terrorist attacks in quetta had links with Afghanistan. One should be very cautious with this kind of neighbour.
Recently there are more threats received by IT university quetta that a terrorist woman from Afghanistan will cause it damage .
Once we're cautious from Afghanistan, our most problems will reduce .

Pakistan needs to get rid of this tribalism, clan/baradari system in all provinces. Tribalism brings nothing but fuedalism. Nobody is stating to leave your ethnic origins, linguistic background but put them aside and sort your disputes out peacefully. I suppose first we need to reform the government and political parties who are also family oriented mafias.

Lol, yes they do make stories about everything strange and new .
Because quetta has stupid and funny people . .
They also think that area near musa stadium is possesed by demons and ghosts .

Wish you another trip to quetta when it'll be completely developed and much beautiful city again in sha Allah .
