What's new

Bajwa extension was my worst decision, there should be no extension at all. Imran Khan.

There is such deep rooted reverence for IK in your society, therefore, whatever anyone tells, will not be analyzed on logic.

You had the same illogical reverence for your army, but sadly it's gone now.

IK has a long list of shortcomings, but he is least corrupt and most handsome, and you are left with no options but to adore this guy.

Let me draw an analogy here: Indian cricket was at rock bottom (when we had RELU KATTE captains, like of Gavaskar and Azharuddin) until one day we got lucky, and we found Saurabh Ganguli. Ganguli made sure that it is the team which is paramount, and every player must work for achieving the desired same goal. Ganguli was not the best player, but he laid the best foundation.

Hope and pray that one day you guys may get your Saurabh Ganguli as KAPTAAN who will bring SOP's to build your nation having a strong future.

Regards
Good analogy.

Gogi, Buzdar and Manica's are the personalities that are hard to defend for a fair PTI support. one has to be a cult worshipper of Imran to dismiss that claim.
There is sufficient against Buzdar only. No confirmed news against Gogi or Manica. All the so called news against them are allegations and mudslinging articles. If otherwise, would love to be proven wrong but let’s do that on another thread where all the evidence is collected and presented.

We have a little issue, if Pak buys oil from Russia then Saudi threat the expulsion of our labor force. Pakistan can't buy oil or gas from any other party that has bad relations with the Saudis or US.
First of all if we need saudia they need us as well. Saudia has good relationship with russia , why would they expell Pakistanis on having relationship with russia ?

That is not the issue. Hasn't Russia told Pakistan that it is willing to consider discounted sales, but right now all Russian production is already committed to other countries?

That’s why I call IK naive and when he claims, he know exactly what to do and he has seen everything, than he started to sound stupid.
So IK is naive who in 3.5 years ran a good government, with no major corruption scandals. Kept us whole through the pandemic, and had the economy on a strong footing. His naiveté on giving Bajwa an extension was so bad that it pales in comparison to Nawaz Sharif brilliance of getting thrown out by 3 army Chiefs. Making mistakes is part of the process. To consider IK naive in comparison to the idiots who have ruled us for 70+ years is certainly being too forgiving and generous for the duffers and the dacoits.

Check Pakistan -Saudia annual petro bill vs labor yearly remittances to Pakistan.

Forming a shaky coalition government and trying to implement major reforms was his biggest mistake. Major reforms can only take place under a strong mandate. Not with lote who will jump ship when offered a little money.

It's a paradox.

You need 'electables' to come into power, especially with a majority. These 'electables' are status quo elites who are threatened by major reforms.

Catch 22. Welcome to parliamentary democracy, semi-feudal / poor / still largely illiterate country style.

It is fact, Elites are not ready for change, which is due, and eventually, it has to move by the law of nature. Otherwise, this elite is on self destructive path or they will destroy the country or bankrupt.
The whole world's economic condition is changing but these elite who enjoy 17 billion dollars of yearly perks are not ready to give up ....

Everyone make mistakes, but he claims to seen it all and know is it all. Seems like he learned his lesson. I am point out the reason that brought him down. No one is comparing him to the PDM mafia.

The Saudis were happy, Pakistan was starting to mend ties with Russia.

Remember, the Saudis and US were not seeing eye to eye on Kashoggi issue and going against US instructions to OPEC. In addition, MBS was warming Saudi relations with Russia.

Zoom it out, the Saudis will like to see Pakistan standing on its own feet, rather than having it borrowing money or asking for deferred payments on oil imports.

Coming back to IK’s worse decision, Bajwa’s extension would have to be up there.

Imagine Bajwa’s delusions when in his last speech he said is willing to forgive IK for the false narrative against him or he was knee deep into politics pre Feb but post Feb he disconnected from politics. This guy is seriously ill.

Very interesting interview with Imran Khan on BOL tv.
When Bajwa was given extension, there were quite a few right here on PDF who saw the folly of this move.
Its Imran’s fault that he didn’t visit PDF. He would have realised this mistake long back.😀

But, most of us, including myself, were supporting his move. So, in a way, he made a decision, which was liked by majority of his supporters.
